Morning all, yesterday was no disaster, 5 winners from the 17 that went to post, unfortunately the prices eluded us and we came just shy of an SP breakeven. Morning all, another small bite into the bookies yesterday, and so far this month has been pretty fair on both sides with the bookies slightly ahead to SP, not many bets today, despite the amount of racing, 3 main bets, then a further 7 selections.

With a name like that, it's only fair that this one be the NAP, Des Donovan's Sleeping Indian filly struggled to fire in maiden company, but looks pretty well in here in selling on official ratings, The trainer works to a profit at this track and Jockey David Probert has ridden him a winner before.

FREEPORT - 540 NEWMARKET

This one has shaped in Maiden Company as though a win won't be far off and he makes his nursery tilt off bottom weight. Trainer going well and an interesting booking of Frankie on top. After his employers, Brian Meehan has provided Frankie with the most winners in the last year, and the trainer also won this race last season. Add this up with the fact that the 2/1 favourite has been raised 4lb over 3 races without winning and the 13/2 is looking a pretty decent price.

LADY MACDUFF - 800 HAYDOCK

I admit there has been a lot of Mark Johnston on the blog lately, but the guy is absolutely flying at the moment. His horses are all pretty well treated after a lean spell, and he and his followers are now reaping the reward. Monday 6th August -

Morning all from sunny suffolk. Yesterday was a bit of a washout, not just in Chester, just the 2 winners, and not at savoury prices. To be honest i was hoping for a couple at Chester so I'm blaming the weather. haha. Tonight sees the second Lady jockeys racenight at Carlisle, the first was very good although organisers must be hoping getting disappointed that they can't attract Hayley Turner to ride. One to look out for tonight is Becky Smith, a claimer, she rides very well and won't take long to ride out her claim. There are also some of the higher echelon of ladies competing with the amateurs tonight in Milzarek, Harrison, Ryan and Burke, plus more. Enjoy.
