Good morning and good riddance to November. Big losses for the blog last month, nearly 2pts a day overall. Hopefully December will be better. I learnt some tweaks for my new system yesterday and will probably learn some more today. I've got 11 bets for today, hopefully we can land one or two. Well 10 really, I've just chucked Big Bucks in for a SR boost. (Every little helps), but if you're interested Reve De Sivola came second to BB in my system so that's the advised forecast play. Another one I'm really interested in that came out top rated for me today is Slievardaghin the 120 at Fairyhouse. This horse has some pretty solid form down the lines and looks overpriced at double figure odds, albeit in a pretty competitive race. I posted my top 4 rated for the Hennessey on Twitter this morning, for those that didn't see it my top 6 were,
Diamond Harry, Alfie Spinner, Bobs Worth, Harry the Viking, Tidal Bay, Duke of Lucca. So I'm hoping the winner comes from them, or I've some serious work to do. Morning all, the final day of a difficult month has arrived. I'll be honest, I'm more disappointed with the SR being below 20% than the financial loss. Morning all, an absolute disaster for the blog yesterday. A few places at decent prices for you each way players out there but not a single winner. A bit of a shit really. I'll try a bit harder today!

A pretty competitve renewal, it doesn't look as though the AP favourite Darlan will run, some sites still have as a runner, some say not, it's Sunday am I'll let them off. I'm taking 3 against the field, hopefully one of them can land, and with 22 in the field at present we should comfortably get a 4 place payout if playing each way. Firstly Paul Nicholls PROSPECT WELLS, he pushed the very classy Zarkandar all the way to the line last week, this may come too soon but i think that run merits more than the 146 he still shoulders and with the very useful Harry Derham taking off 7lb,. (how does he still claim 7?) he looks very well in in 100%. The Nicholls/Derham partnership won this race with a prospect last year so know what it takes. Next I've gone with TED SPREAD, again from the Nicholls yard and arguably 1st string in some minds regards jockey bookings. Found out a little at this level back end of last season, was poor first outing this but perhaps needed the run. The handicapper appears to be relenting and he could be a big player today. Thirdly I'm putting up OLOFI. 2nd in this race on seasonal reappearance last year. That was his best run all season, but arguably going well when fell next time out, he also got within 5 lengths of Zarkandar, which could leave him a little short here but I'm taking a chance that he may have come on. One I did also like was Gordon Elliot's Cause of Causes, but I think he'll have a lot to do with a penalty in this classy field.

So onto today and the last day of mediocre before a fantastic weekend of racing, most notably from the November meeting at Cheltenham. I'll put up my Jumps 10-to-Follow, I have just entered 2 teams this year so I'll pop them both up at some point today or tomorrow.
Zarzal is out today after a below par run on reappearance, i fancy him to do much better, also Allee Garde interests me after a long rest, one that didn't make the system but I'm watching with interest is Hatters River on handicap debut, up in trip in the opener at Taunton, I feel this one outran his odds every start last season and is worth a run.

Very quick one today, just one bet, it's not favourite, it should be.

If you go solely on ratings this one has 11lb in hand on his closest rival. Tekthelot only gets 4lb back from the thrashing he got from the selection in May. This is a big drop in class from his last run. Well worth at least backing into favourite, in my opinion.

Not the best day yesterday profit wise but the SR is creeping up, today looks very mucky and I've just picked out 5 that in my opinion are worthy of their short prices. It's the best i can offer today I'm afraid, hopefully tomorrow will look a bit better.

This horse sets the standard in this race, 3rd in the Welsh National, 4th in the Aintree Grand National. He won a better race than this on his November seasonal bow last year.

This one was a frustrating hurdler to follow, form looks like a little family of ducks out for a swim. Makes chasing bow today under the exceptional Lucy Alexander. On hurdles form he has the beating of these.

This one looked a useful prospect last month on first spin for Henderson. This race, however, could be just as tough so will need to show at least the same or better. NH won this race last year.

Point to point winner before landing back to back bumper successes. Signs suggest he could be useful.

Another frustrating hurdler but has the ability in there. This is quite an open race in truth with plenty of unknowns, but he was sent off a short fav for 3 of his last 4 starts over hurdles so someone likes his ability and to make the switch to fences is interesting.

Was unbeaten until getting caught out by the pace in Champion Hurdle, then a fall took him out at Aintree when going well. In my opinion jockey bookings here have more to do with connections than the horses. This guy is the class act in this race, vulnerable to progressive sorts perhaps but nothing to suggest he won't have come on himself.

Solid dual purpose performer, placed at least 18 times, more than 50% of starts. Some good animals here but her 4th in the Topham Chase gives her every right to line up.

Another losing Saturday, once again a frustrating one though with 8 places, a few at prices too including a 16/1 shot second. We also had a 20/1 shot moving to lead before clattering the second last fence! Either of these would have secured a profit yesterday but alas it wasn't to be.
