Saturday 10-11-12

Morning all, we are truly on a bad run of things at the moment. Judging by twitter I guess I'm not the only one but that doesn't make it okay. I've 18 more wannabes today, some at attractive prices. I'll jot down a few positives today for information and then it's sit back, wait and enjoy time. The racing looks very good today, hopefully it will prove to be.

SANDOWN

145 LAMPS
Won fresh on November reappearance last year.
225 TOP SMART
Looked very impressive on chase debut, second that day won next two starts.
300 ONE TERM
4/5 at this trip, cheekpieces applied first time today.
335 IMPERIAL CIRCUS
On good mark if bringing his hurdles form, looked to need run last time
405 WYCHWOODS BROOK
Big price second last time, winners have come from race. Excellent jockey booking if they want to use this geldings stamina and make the race.

DONCASTER

125 IZZY BOY
On the form of his second run he is on an excellent mark here, ignore last run in mud.
235 BLUE SURF
Progressive gelding (will need to again), eyecatching jockey booking.
310 PLACE IN MY HEART
Looking back through jockey bookings, connections think something of this filly, she weight just have enough weight allowance here to make herself known.
345 WELL PAINTED
Won maiden well enough followed by a big run on second start. Stayed on well into top half of field in much better race last time, will be big player here.

KELSO

1225 GREEN FLAG
Left 2 hundred rated hurdlers in his dust last time, this is tougher but he should relish the trip and plenty suggests much more to come from him this year.
130 WHAT A STEEL
Won on his only completed start here, needs to be at the races but if he is then he can get involved
205 KNOCKARA BEAU
3/5 here. Was a big price danger in last seasons Cheltenham Gold Cup and sent off 11/1 of 8lb higher in the Scottish National. Jumping errors cost last time but much smaller field could waylay them.
240 DE BOITRON
There's a funny thing happening this November, Ferdy Murphy horses are actually winning! Frustrating to follow but pushed a very progressive sort the distance back end of last year.

WINCANTON

140 MISS MILBOURNE
Good solid run when fresh last time out and a progression of that will certainly put her in the mix.

250 ZARKANDAR (NAP)
Was unbeaten until getting caught out by the pace in Champion Hurdle, then a fall took him out at Aintree when going well. In my opinion jockey bookings here have more to do with connections than the horses. This guy is the class act in this race, vulnerable to progressive sorts perhaps but nothing to suggest he won't have come on himself.

325 AIMIGAYLE
Solid dual purpose performer, placed at least 18 times, more than 50% of starts. Some good animals here but her 4th in the Topham Chase gives her every right to line up.

NAAS

135 MAKE A TRACK
Won 3 times on similar ground, decent traveller could make a nice chaser.

320 THE MULL
Looks to be on a reasonable mark for handicap debut, competitive throughout a hunter chase campaign last term and should get involved today.

Good Luck and Happy Punting
