Friday 29th July - Glorious Goodwood Day 4 - Over 30pts profit yesterday.

Praise the Lord, Yesterday was my first profitable day sinde the 17th July. That put a smile on my face, the best bit was that it wasn't a little profit, it was nearly 35pts. I don't have time to go in too much today. The boy let me have a lay-in. He obviously forgot that Glorious Goodwood is on, and daddy needs to get up and write his blog. Don't despair though. I'm on a 12 hour jobber at work today so expect me to be very active on Twitter.

GOODWOOD
200 REDWOOD
2nd in a Group 2 at Newmarket last time out, mild step down in class and this looks prime for the taking. Won this race last year.

235 NEEBRAS
Mahmood Al Zaroooni is in terrific form at the moment, and no reason why this shouldn't continue that. He found a few too sharp in a group 1 over in France last time, reopposes listed victor Tazahum but on better terms so gets the nod. WINNER 4/1

310 PINTURA / DANCE AND DANCE / CAI SHEN
Combi forecast time. This race is a pinsticker if you ask me. Anything can win. Pintura and Dance and Dance were very close when i subjected them to my system. Cai Shen is just a horse that I really like watching. He has a tremendous turn of foot in the closing stages, he just hasn't been able to quite time it right of late.

345 SAIGON
The Hannon pair are obvious choices in this, but the selection is unbeaten and Kirsty seems to thoroughly enjoy riding him. Very impressive winner of his maiden at Yarmouth, then at Newbury he didn't start the best but Kirsty was patient, she had to carry him right across the track to get a run and despite the leader hanging and pushing him off a true line he still got up to win. He will now have the benefit of another racecourse run for experience and this horse gives the impression he can go all the way.

420 GOLDONI
Still a maiden, but came very close to cracking it last time at Epsom. Should be well treated now in Nursery on bare form figures and could provide an upset here. His Sire was a favourite of mine so I have to have a litle wager on the boy. WINNER 11/2

450 DAWN ECLIPSE
I was struggling here, there are lots that could win this. If I was convinced that a little stalls test at Salisbury has done the magic trick, then I'd jump all over Memory at 9/1. Rimth is another that looks overpriced at 14s. Irish raider Dawn Eclipse has come across some very good horses in Ireland and should be much better than form figures suggest. Well worth an Each way bet. I'm going to do Memory and Rimth as well + CFC

525 JAMESWAY
Slowly dropping down in class and weight to find a win. Looks  good horse, just coming up against better ones from time to time. If you can get a double figure price then more than worth an each way shot, but any market support should suggest going in on the nose.

BANGOR
320 CHRISTOPHERS QUEST (Each way, only if remains 8 runners on off)

BATH
535 SARANGOO (NB)

MUSSELBURGH
600 TOSHI (TREB)
740 AL SHAQAB
815 AL MUHEER WINNER 4/1

THIRSK
405 SANGAR (NAP)
440 ARGANIL
515 PICCOLO EXPRESS

And of course I'm going to have a cheeky £ on Trending in the 505 at Bath.

Have a great day, good luck and happy punting.

Profit yesterday +34.91pts Profit for July -11.22pts
