Saturday 8-12-12

Morning, yesterday wasn't great, but a 30% SR, and a couple of points under papered the cracks. I've picked out a lot today, 28 in fact. I'm looking for an optimistic 9 winners to maintain the blog's SR. And of course a small profit would be nice also. Any highlights today? Well the showdown between Sprinter Sacre and Santuaire. You couldn't get 2 more different nags, one is a raving lunatic who will likely charge at every fence like he's leading the light brigade, the other sits on the bridle like he's just having a gallop through his field admiring the scenery. This will be a very interesting race, and the big question is can Sanctuaire get Sprinter Sacre off the bridle? I think when you are questioning just whether a horse will have to put in an effort then you probably already know the winner, and I guess the odds suggest that. An intersting one in the 1245 Wetherby is Viva Colonia. The tissue on RP online is 8/1 and I think was trading about 7.6 on Betfair when I looked earlier, now on achieved form this is too big as he was as good, if not better, than the leading lights in this race on his hurdle form. This is his chase debut and he hasn't been seen since being outclassed in last years Ladbroke Hurdle (17-12-11) but at 7-8/1 is surely worth a play on value terms. Right I'll pop down my potential winners now. Always have a look at the cards yourselves before placing a bet, but hopefully I can give you some ideas.

FOOTBALL

My bet of the week are Brentford at home to the MK Dons, as closely as these 2 are matched Brentford are in sterling form at home gaining 20 points from the last available 24. A best price of 7/4 makes them decent value in my book.
My Treble for today is
SWANSEA
C. PALACE
BRENTFORD

Good Luck and Happy Punting
