Morning, and happy new month. Only 1 again for me today, in the big race of the day. The Moyglare (415 Curragh).
It's difficult to suggest that next years 1000 Guineas winner doesn't come from this race. And what a race. I'll just run through the card because i think they deserve it.
CARLA BIANCA
Probably has a lot to do, close second to the well thought of Australia on debut, she needs to find probably 20lb on that run to get to the level of these.
KIYOSHI
The Albany winner. She won that so impressively and if she ran in a straight line she'd probably be odds on here and even money for the classic. She switched near the entire width of the track at Ascot and still beat a string of subsequent Group class performers by a nearest 3 and half lengths. She's my view of the winner here.
PERHAPS
The dark horse? For me she wants further, looks a decent horse but she's struggled to get to 2 of these rivals the last twice, over this trip.
RIZEENA
She looks like she'll improve for further, which she gets today. Impressive winner of the Queen Mary at Ascot, she's been staying on nicely in 2 strong races since. She's certainly a big player here, my worry for her is that she's raced a fair bit for a 2yo filly
TAPESTRY
Visually she's done it nice enough the last twice, and the numbers suggest she's decent. She had perhaps behind comfortably last time and looks like there's more to come. For me though there has to be to get to the 2 British raiders and that's why Kiyoshi is my bet at level prices.
WONDERFULLY
A long way behind Kiyoshi at Ascot, but gets to within a length of Tapestry on a straight line through Perhaps, another still improving and the assistance of Ryan Moore is a huge positive.
TOUCH OF SNOW
It'll be a nice day out for her connections!

Kiyoshi is the winner for me, if they've straightened her out she wins easy. I couldn't put you off backing the others, well maybe 1 of them, I might chuck Wonderfully in the forecast for fun, I don't think there's a lot between her, Rizeena and Tapestry and she is the biggest price.

Morning all. 2nd yesterday. Only 1 again today, looks a tricky day to pick apart, potentially quantity over quality when you break it all down.

MERCERS ROW 305 BEVERLEY
Comfortable off this mark, when he's dropped this low recently he's had a win and 2 seconds from 4 runs off 69, today 68. At BetVictor's 14/1 it works out a 5/4 place landing for the EW players. Worth keeping onside imo. Add to that a 33% C&D record. Only won once in 27 starts elsewhere.

Morning all, despite some decent competitive racing today I can only find one I want to bet on.

BALLYGLASHEEN 445 KILLARNEY

Cut no ice in 3 starts on the flat, but made solid start in this sphere (hurdling) last time out, coming in ahead of a subsequent winner on that occasion. Should be a bit of value with a Mullins/Walsh debutant lining up also.

Morning all, 1 from 2 yesterday. At 5/2 profit was made. Lovely. I only have 1 today and 3 in the Tennis.

CALDERCRUIX 550 SOUTHWELL

33% at the course, last win came here in last run in this class, when claimers allowances balanced out effectively on the same mark too. Probably needed a run last time out. Should be a player.


TENNIS

D. GOFFIN
He has played a lot of hard court Tennis coming here, winning a challenger event in Turkey and qualifying for both recent Masters tournaments. Won't be an easy game against Dolgopolov but lots of value on the Belgian.

C. VANDEWEGHE
Funnily I did a double Monday night on the womens and the 2 featured here beat the 2 in my double! Coco had more of a run out as she came through some game changing moments to land a confident straight sets win. Her opponent today cruised to a double bagel victory against very little resistance. With the crowd on her side Coco can use her experience from the first round to push on again.

A. KLEYBANOVA
She could be the story of these championships, former top 20 player now outside 300. She only played 2 matches last year which probably points to her current ranking. But she's worked hard to get here, back when she had the game to beat Jankovic which is shown by her 3-2 H2H lead. Well worth a bet at 4/1.

Morning all, just 1 from the 3 yesterday, but the other 2 weren't too far away so not too displeased. I have looked through the racing today, scratched out a shortlist and taken a mere 2 from it to bet on.

QUINSMAN 435 BANGOR

This one was allocated a Handicap mark of 122 following decent runs in Novice company, he hasn't hit those heights really and now finds himself off 108. His last 2 races look reasonably decent so far, albeit he was someway behind. Today he is aided by cheekpieces for the first time and also the superb Richard Johnson. He has to have a chance here, if he wants too.

COOL SKY 550 CARTMEL

Useful high 70's/80's handicapper on the flat, now with the excellent Donald McCain. Really not a lot to shout about in this race so should be a decent bit of placement for this horse.

Morning all, A comfortable profit yesterday, very pleased. Onto today, and it was a struglle finding something to confidently place some on. It's a very open days racing. Whatever wins will most likely be met with derision and calls of "i backed that last time" or "I looked at that", the latter i could honestly say about nearly 150 horses running today. Therefore I'm taking the easy way out and keeping my money in my pocket, just backing 1 horse in the last at York.

HOOFALONG 535 YORK
Very much on the up this year, for some reasons the Cheekpieces he wore when landing back 2 back success were left off last time, back on now. Partnered by a very capable apprentice, although there are a few in this race the cream of the crop have come out. With the excuse of the headgear issue last time we don't really know if the handicapper has a squeeze on yet, the horse seems know how to win when you look at the manner of his victories.

So that's it, I'll jot down my 3 main footy bets, hopefully i can land 1.

Likely needed the run last time after a break, weigh that in with a 6lb swing against Dark Energy who reopposes today and you start to look potentially well in. It will arguably take his best to win this, but he's improving so certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.

Morning, Yesterday, 5 horses, 1 5/1 winner. That's a profit, not a big one, but a profit none the less. I have a few today, a few will certainly appeal to each way players, I think they have a chance, I've backed them and hope for a good run. I have a clear NAP + NB today so hopefully they won't make me look a plank.

Sue Smith isn't really a name regularly attached to flat racing, in fact this one possibly is her only winner (certainly in the last 5 years).Given a pretty hard hit by the handicapper after that win and has now dropped backed into basement grade, worth a play.

For the excellent Ontoawinner.com syndicate, @tweetstershorse would be a hugely popular winner. Trainer Edwin Tuer has his yard in good order at the moment in my opinion and loves it at this track. The horse hasn't won for a couple of years now but is a mighty 11lb lower for it.

This horse has the potential to pop up, now and then. He has won off marks of 71, 65 and 60 and currently sits at 55. Worth keeping onside on decent ground here.

Eyecatcher last time when struggled for room coming home well, worth a follow with another ease in weight. Jockey Gary Mahon landed an apprentice race some 10 or so days ago so has the winning feeling.

This horse has tumbled in the weights. She has the ability, she just doesn't seem to be getting home. She has a massive weight pull with one of the favourites here and on that looks a squeak of value.

720 BRASS MONKEY

Won here 3 starts ago for Charlie Longsdon, interesting new yard are persevering at this longer trip. Could make the frame.

WORCESTER

330 HARANGUE

After showing promise last summer, running to RPRs in the hundreds and forcing the official hcap to 99, he hasn't gone on at all. Trainer seems to have bought him here for a change of scenery perhaps. If they can invoke a bit of last years efforts then he is well in. It'll be interesting to see if any cash comes.

400 SANGFROID (NAP)

Tim Vaughan is flying at the moment. This horse hasn't scored since 2009, but is some 18lb lower than when beginning winter campaign last October, useful conditional takes off a further 3. He was well backed on reappearance so obviously has shown some readiness and any money again today would be another big positive.

505 CARHUE PRINCESS

Back to mark of decent 2nd at Uttoxeter in April. I just think she's a big price more than anything. She's on my follow list so must have shown me something once upon a time.

Unbeaten on fibresand, although most recently was a claimer. Seen some overnight support.

VITAL EVIDENCE 715 SANDOWN

Appalling in a tactical affair last time out, returns to C&D of sole win. Still potentially unexposed and worth another try.
