Morning all, I'm leaving the horses alone today. Nothing really catches my eye. I've had a couple bets on the Tennis and the Football, the Tennis starts early if you're following.

LEYTON HEWITT to beat Tommy Haas.
2 elder statesmen of the tour, both have some form this year, with Leyton looking very good on the grass in the summer. Hewitt leads the H2H 6-3 but they've not met since 2004! Both were beaten by Youzhny in the US Open, Hewitt in 5, Haas in 4. Both men are capable of turning up and really probably not a lot between them so the value lies with Hewitt.

JUAN MONACO to beat Jarkko Nieminen
H2H here is 2-2 but both Nieminen's wins came before 2008. Monaco has won the 2 meetings since, albeit both on clay. Another decent 1st round tie in prospect, and the value lies again with the outsider of the pair.

FIORENTINA to beat Parma
Fiorentina have won this fixture to nil the last 3 years, they are in decent form so far winning 3 of their 4 league games, The only blip a draw with Cagliari before their Europa league tie. Parma yet to register a win and have only managed 2 goals to La Viola's 10. They maintain the tiniest squeak of a fair price at Victor's 8/13, Hills a penny in the pound shorter at 6/10. Betfred won't even give you a ton to 2ton so 8/13 is a bet.

Morning all, keeping up with this blog is difficult. I study lots of formlines, look at so many factors, it can take a long time to whittle down to one bet, which then loses. It can get disheartening. Sure it's great when one comes off, but even if you get a 12/1 winner followed by 10 losers despite being in profit it still feels like losing. Now what I do each day is draw up a shortlist of the races/horses i'm going to be looking at. This comes from a complex background where i have over 4000 horses entered and they change daily as some go in and some come out. I'm going to merely put up the horse that comes up first for each race. So you will get more tips each day, probably a worse strike rate but I'd have had some big winners using this method previously had I done so. We'll see how it goes, I'll record the data daily for now then maybe move to a weekly or monthly figure going forward.

Morning, so yesterdays selection trailed in last. Great. What about today. There's some decent looking races dotted about today. Listowel has a solid card, should make good watxhing, and the listed race at Yarmouth looks to be of a decent standard. I've tweeted that Agent Allison looks a big price, she's been racing at Group level since her debut, she'll enjoy any cut in the ground. I'm not backing I'll quickly explain, I don't do each way, and I don't think she is that keen on winning. But with 16s dotted across the board, you've got a bet at 11/10 to place with the concession of a win, alternatively the place is 3.7 on the exchange so I'm headed there. Enjoy. But moving forward I have 1 bet today,

CHOC 'A' MOCA 410 BEVERLEY
No change in mark from last time out 2nd, form of that race working out quite well, Winner won again, and the 3rd won in a higher grade. Useful claimer takes 5lb off, couple that with the grade rise which means he carries physically a stone less than the last race. I think this is a big chance for this horse, who can often string together a couple of decent efforts. 25% record over C&D useful too. I like this one. And a very workable price, Paddy Power the most generous at 12/1.

Morning all, It's Leger day. Compared to some recent Legers this field looks okay. I won't go into the race too much but I'll tell you what I've bet. I'm into Libertarian Antepost, and the money has come nicely for him, I'm in a decent position if needs be. He should relish the cut, the trip, Godolphin have an excellent record in this race. Sure he wears the Red cap but that doesn't mean a lot really, certainly not anymore. Leading Light's Queen Vase win was visually very stylish, it would be interesting to see if similar tactics deployed today, with doubts on some of these for the trip it would make sense. Finally at a big price is Great Hall. This horse doesn't look anywhere near his potential, he hasn't encountered cut in the ground before so potentially an issue there, but certainly no issue with the trip. Big step up in class but his form from last start watertight with 2nd, 3rd and 4th all winning next time up.

Morning all, just the one winner yesterday at 7/2, could have been a storming day though with a 40/1 second! Small Margins! I have 9 for today. Am I confident? It's tough to tell, I'd be disappointed with less than 2 winners if I'm honest but that should be enough to pay the way, we'll see.
