Friday 27th May

This will most likely be my last post until Tuesday or Wednesday as I fly off to Galway in the early hours of tomorrow morning. I'm away for a weekend of stag carnage so horses won't be on my mind for 3 whole days!
We got some very right yesterday and some very wrong. Just tips today, no frills, no naps, just good old fashioned, these are the ones I'm doing. Good Luck

Thursday 26th May

Yesterday blogger upset me largely by completely disregarding all my hard work, so I sulked went to work and tweeted a few losers to my followers!!! So we'll try again and hopefully the internet will behave today. I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but the quality of racing at the moment is seriously disappointing so tonight's card at Sandown is a real breath of fresh air. I shall look at each race then give a few extras from around the grounds.

SANDOWN

600 Potentiale looks good on paper dropped in class but has only won once above in a class 4 in 2009. Chain of events looked hugely impressive at Newmarket l.t.o under Hayley Turner but a 7lb rise and change of jock to Eddie Ahern force me to swerve this one. A couple of others that know this level and appeal through jockey bookings are Rock the Stars and Classically, but 2 real dangers and decent each way chances come for firsty Jamie Spencer on Boa. Boa was denied a hat-trick lto in an app handicap at Donny, Jockey booking speaks volumes on todays chances and wouldn't it be apt for something out of the late great Mtoto to win today. Finally my selection is ARCHIE RICE. Stepped up in class last time but found wanting, back down today and has finished first 3 in last 6 starts at this level. Frankie sits on board today and I'm going to go with the little man to get us off to a flyer tonight. I can't believe I've found 9 lines to write about a class 5 handicap!

630 Powerful Wind looks progressive but no real form from his maiden win, Jockey Luke Morris is THE most talented upandcomer and a future champ but this one out of his depth tonight. Miss Lahar flattered on first run for me, placing in a Windsor maiden is usually a decent song but both that have come out since(winner is one) have really disappointed. Foxtrot India looked to have hit the jjackpot with his maiden win, 3 have come out and won since, but 4th next time behind Bannock and Magic City. The 3rd in that race ran in listed class at the Curragh on Sunday and looked well out of depth. Sixx has no ongoing form from his maiden although beat the stable first string on that day so thatcould be a positive, probably won't manage that feat today however. Onto the real chances, Pymans Theory is well fancied by owner Micheal Owen. Took him a run to break his maiden, and ran very well off bad draw when coming in well jsut a couple behind Miss Work of Art last time. The 2 main contenders are Bannock and Magic City. Bannock is on a hattrick and a very progressive sort, Magic City won his maiden and looked to have the work at his feet. Next time out he came across the hugely impressive Miss Work of Art, then  went down a neck to Bannock, however Bannock was 3lb to the good that day and they are on level terms today. On that alone my NAP for today is MAGIC CITY.

705 Akmal will make it from the front, Holberg has won first time out in the last two seasons but my selection is BLUE BAJAN. A fine running on second to Duncan last time out and if close enough 2 furlongs out he looks like he will finish like an express train and bring home the bacon.

740 I'm going to shock you all here. Yes Workforce should win and Jan Vermeer should be the danger. But I'm going to throw a dog a bone here with a big price chance. As I stated earlier Luke Morris is a huge prospect in the racing world and has a massive chance aboard Black Spirit. Only a short head from landing a group 3 over C & D last month. Workforce was a well held second on seasonal debut last year and concedes weight all round. BLACK SPIRIT to hopefully spring a huge suprise tonight.

815 5 well in animals contest this one and I think all are in with a chance. Pausanias ran a huge race last time out and comfortably beat then Derby fancy Rerouted. Has only been beaten once in a group 3 at the end of his 2yo season. If you are a Hughes/Hannon fan then no reason not to get on. Fury looked very impressive as a 3 year old and ran on well to take 5th behind the monster that is Frankel. Loving Spirit was 9th in the Guineas but a few there gave in and as we saw at the Curragh some needed the run. The outsider of the 5 but still a lively chance. Godolphin colt Neebras was within a length of landing a group 2 as a 2yo, needed first run ths year and showed that by destroying all next time winning an eased down 7L, my selection on top of this is Sir Micheal Stoutes TAZAHUM. Sir Micheal has won this race twice in recent years and has a real chance of picking it up again tonight. He looked very convincing on first run this season, and his only defeat came to dual Guineas podium Dubawi Gold.

845 I'll keep it short for the lucky last. I'm going for NAZREEF. Ran well first time out this year but failed to find that form when reappearing. Inconsistent at times but when he gets it right, he gets it right. Last win he bet the impressive Snow Bay who has placed the majority of starts since. A huge price for a horse that has the potential to win any time. I'm happy to jump on board.

NB 250 Ayr - Empress Royal
TREBLE 440 Brighton - Cathcart Castle

450 Kasih

Saturday 21st May

With 11 class 1 events today forcing a fantastic days racing on us I thought it best to keep yesterday to a watching brief. On entering my selections in my various tipping leagues I appear to have picked one or two favorites. I would just like to reassure you all that during the process of making my selections I do not acknowledge or even look at the price, only when i have chosen the horse i make the decision whether or not the right price is available.

NAP : Johannes 340 York - Been running well below potential, in fact his last win was just over 1 year ago, but for that he has steadily been dropping down the weights and is now 1lb lower than when he won. You can never discount Richard Fahey, especially when the racing goes north of Nottingham, Ancient Cross has gone up 6lb for l.t.o win at york, so Johannes is 7lb better off from that day where he finished a staying-on 41/2-5 lengths behind the winner. As long as Lee Topliss can quickly get him in position I see no reason why this isn't the event to shake his losing run, and at 10/1 being available, a solid each way chance.

NB : Brae Hill 400 Chester - Another Richard Fahey runner in a big money handicap, I know it's not hugely original but he can't be ignored. Again 8/1 is a price that can be used as an each-way saver. Generally been close to the win but once again last win came a year ago, in fact this weekend last year at this meeting! In this race! He is 4lb higher than that day but still on the same mark as when 4/28 in the victoria cup at Ascot.

TREBLE : Merchant of Medici 705 Newbury - Only up 4lb for l.t.o win in a higher class. At time of writing (7.48am BST) no prices available but trading at 11 on betfair, definately worth chucking in for an each-way treble. Place treble would pay just over 38/1 at current odds.

CURRAGH
240 Power - Impressive winner at 6f on debut but showed enough speed that day when contesting early prominence to suggest 5f will suit, should go all his own way.
310 Hitchens - The toughest race on the card, between 3 Hitchens 4th in DOY, Tiddliwinks 3rd in DOY and Sing Softly 2nd in Nell Gwyn, if course form is taken as a large positive then we would have to go with Sing Softly. But Aidan O Briens filly is up in class and running against the boys. I'm going to take Hitchens to reverse the Duke of York form and take this, but should be a cracker.
345 Dubawi Gold - The only danger to this would be if Roderic O Connor needed the run at Newmarket, trial winner Dunboyne Express is a long way behind the other 2 on ability. Zabarajad is still a maiden and most likely still will be. Slim Shadey completely overran his odds at Newmarket when Luke Morris kept him going as all others beat by Frankel's demolition job. Dubawi Gold for me.
420 Lolly for Dolly - Head and shoulders above the rest of the field, missed out on a group 3 hattrick when beaten a short-head here at the start of the month.
450 Super Say - Generally wins in smaller fields but does get involved in the larger packs, a decent each way shot (boyles giving 12's) in a race where picking the winner looks almost impossible
520 Duke of Rutherford - Another huge handicap to finish the card, form reads 323 for last 3 races, only needs 4 to land place money today but positive jockey booking suggests connections going for the win.

HAYDOCK

200 Brown Panther - A huge market mover mostly because people had ignored it early, won in same grade last time out, rivals form can be picked apart and if they can't give it away on course could return to a decent price with the Queen running one here.
300 Tangerine Trees - My old favourite, done me a turn at Newmarket with an 18/1 success, the "Budapest Bullet" Overdose makes his first trip to the UK with a view to a Royal Ascot raid. Of the potential front runners Tangerine showed at Newmarket he has the pace to turn his foot and should go with Overdose, he also showed the stamina to hold off his rivals and I think if anything is going to cause an upset it will be him.
330 Aneedah - Close second in listed company over this trip last time out, but some useful sorts in this race, worth a go with trainer in form.

GOODWOOD

320 Forte dei Marmi - Probably the weakest race he will contest this year, been sent here for the win I'm sure, Kieron Fallon knows how to get a horse over the line and Luca Cumani provides a lot of them for him.
425 Jet Away - I'm never going to argue with Henry Cecil, the man is a racing genius, this is a colt that shows tremendous potential, what happens is Henry and Teddy Grimthorpe sit down and find winable races for the Prince's horses, this is the race they have chosen for Jet Away, so it will win. Field is limited so no problems for Tom Quealley who often makes mistakes in running. A true favorite.

YORK

310 Times Up - Career best effort last time out and some stamina doubts, probably not a fair favorite but can't really see much for anything else.

Thursday 19 May 2011

Thursday 19th May

Well it did get better, 1 winner better! Ha ha, todays selections will hopefully do better.

NAP : Shrewd Investor 445 Wetherby - Mixed bag of form but very capable when getting it right, on that basis overpriced.

NB : Dancing Welcome 630 Salisbury

TREBLE : Youhavecontrol 250 Haydock

others:
400 Haydock - Tartan Trip
415 Wetherby - Weetfromthechaff
455 Southwell - Charles Parnell
525 Southwell - Subramaniam
640 Tipperary - Deputy Consort
730 Sandown - Little Black Book

Wednesday 18 May 2011

Wednesday 18th May

Shooting blanks yesterday. Oh well we still live and breathe so not all is lost. 1 positive to take is that we can't do any worse than 0.

NAP : Sherjawy 530 Goodwood - Hugely overpriced, the piece of form I want you to look at reads as follows, 9 May 2011 Brighton, Class 4 Handicap, 6f (5f213y!) 5th, he was beaten by the hugely impressive Piazza San Pietro, Magical Speedfit and Maze, the one directly in front Kyllachy storm dropped to a class 5 next time out and won by 2 and 1/4 lengths. Sherjawy on 9th May was within a length of Kyllachy Storm. This is a Class 6! Another positive is the jockey, of the 6 booked, for me, Matthew Lawson is the most eyecatching. And finally on 9th May Sherjawy was with the leaders but couldn't pick up in the final 200 yards this is back to 5 furlongs.

NB : No Strings Attached 220 Worcester

TREBLE : Badeel 420 Goodwood

310 Goodwood - Beatrice Avenue
345 Goodwood - Epsom Salts
410 Lingfield      - Elhamri
505 Kempton    - Bunce

Monday 16 May 2011

Tuesday 17th May

I'll keep it quick because my daughter is waiting for her breakfast. 12/1 NAP yesterday always breeds success just unfortunate my next best couldn't respond when asked after travelling so well, otherwise we'd have had a lovely little treble up.

NAP : Maryolini 220 Brighton

NB : Beauchamp Viking 535 Towcester

TREBLE : Perfect Point 830 Kempton

Brighton 320 - Magical Speedfit
Brighton 420 - Fly By Nelly
Killarney 620 - Mantell
Killarney 820 - Aragorn Icon
Towcester 840 - Cadeaux Cerise

Monday 16th May

Well we were turned over in Eurovision by the mighty Azerbaijan, our horses on Saturday were turned over by pretty much everything, although Canford Clifs came home for my TTF so not all bad.
Only a few today because the racing is very poor quality.

NAP : Cavitie 440 Wolverhampton - Not finished out of the frame since February, likes the track, step up in trip shouldn't hamper too much.

NB : Cootamundra 720 Killarney - In a pretty open maiden, from what I can see this one has the best experience to get himself there and could be a decent price to boot.

TREBLE : Jewelled 400 Bath - Been beaten in the past by some very useful looking horses, this race looks like it will suit to win, Seb Sanders is a terrific Jockey who loves to win in the south.

Others
410 Wolves - Attrition
300 Bath     - The Name is Frank
710 Leicester - Fault

Friday 13 May 2011

Saturday 14th May

Eurovision, FA Cup and fantastic racing, what more can you want?

I have 2 runners representing my Tentofollow today, Canford Cliffs and I Love Me. But have swerved them both.

NAP : Silaah 425 Thirsk - Runner up in Listed company 2 runs back but struggled in larger fields since, a couple of non runners would suit but as long as he can take control from the front he stands one hell of a chance. Beat the Bell is the main danger for me.

NB : Diman Waters 500 Thirsk - Ran very eyecatchingly last time out when rearing up at the start, to come on for 5th. That was also a higher grade. Only negative is the fact he hasn't won since April last year, seems to very often be the bridesmaid. Has been first past the post this year but the stewards deemed his interference too much and reversed the places.

Notable Mentions :
Parlour Games 325 Newmarket - The Godolphin colt comfortably took his only effort this year in the process beating next time out winners Brown Panther and Malice or Mischief. This is slightly up in class and planty of dangers, but this horse seems to be improving and nothing to suggest he can't take this.

Rossbeigh 820 Kilbeggan - This is the 3rd reserve so probably won't run but if it does it has a great chance.

Others
345 Newbury (Lockinge) I'm going to swerve the big 3 for a massively overpriced animal. If any of the top 3 were out of the race Cityscape would be around 5 or 6 as opposed to the 16's on offer. Multiple Group and listed winner but his only crack at group 1 company came in 2009s 2000 Guineas where he finished a long way behind Sea the Stars. Canford Cliffs is the class miler in the country, stablemate Dick Turpin probably would be if Canford didn't exist, and we all know of Twice over's class, but all we need is 1 of them to have an off day and you have a terrific price on a cracking piece of horse.

215 Newm - Utley
225 Bang - Dunowen Point
335 Bang - Gus Macrae
530 Newb - Midsummer Sun
555 Bang - Ice Tea
810 Donc - Seamus Shindig
840 Donc - Bosambo

Eurovision - woop woop

Saturday May 14th brings the most enthralling betting event of the year, not the Lockinge, not the FA Cup final, but Eurovision. If you chuck in an each way your selection can go from 3rd to 15 to 2nd in 3 easy hits. It's huge fun. In the old days if you knew the voting order you could terrorise the in-play market due to a late flourish of points for a certain Balkan state or such.
I think there is value this year. France are a very short price. For such an unpopular country, the only people that like the french are the french and they can't vote for themselves. Their song is an opera number and I just don't think it shouts out eurovision to me.
I've picked out 5 from the field, be wary some online bookmakers are going win only and some paying 4 places so just be careful hen placing your bet.
Ireland - yes Jedward, the boys love 'em or hate 'em came 5th in the X factor with absolutely zero talent whatsoever. People enjoy the juggernaut of car-crash cringe that is Jedward, they will surely get 12 points from the UK, to be honest I prefer their offering than that of Blue. The boys are available at 9/2 in places and well worth a crack.
Finland 25/1
Denmark 25/1
Estonia 22/1
Bosnia 40/1
The prices quoted are the best price available when blog written. These have been chosen because they are the songs that i managed to listen to for more than 3 seconds. Norway has a decent Eurovision song but I don't like it, and they havewon quite recently so that will weigh on peoples minds. Should be a great show again this year. Grahem Norton renews his more than ample coverage. Replacing Wogan with ease. And I believe Lena(last years winner) will be performing. She is actually quite good, I have her album and enjoy it!
I hope you all enjoy Eurovision as much as me. I will be at a wedding so will have to watch on sky plus on sunday. :-(

Thursday 12 May 2011

Thursday 12th May

Dante day. I'd like to clear something up first. Often the Dante winner goes well in the Derby. Often the Derby winner has gone well in the Dante. However, the 2 very rarely collide. Despite this I believe this year will be the year it happens. With the top 3 in the Derby betting going today it should be a massive pointer. I don't think anything from yesterdays Musidora will take the Oaks, on all known form it's going to Godolphin and Blue Bunting. My Derby selection is Seville so I have to favour him today.

NAP : Seville 230 York. My Derby selection, if anything I'd like to see him beat so his price drifts for the Derby but I just can't see much of a challenge from the other 2 big guns. Seville has group race form where he beat group company winners Native Khan and Dunboyne express, plus UAE Derby runner up Master of Hounds and Guineas runner up Dubawi Gold. In fact he beat Dubawi Gold by over 10 Lengths compared to the, eased down, 6 managed by Frankel. World Domination has run once, with all coming out so far is the 3rd beat the 7th in a future maiden event. Carlton House has only maiden form to read with the better race being the one he lost rather than the more recent. Pisco Sour and Yasseer have group company experience and could spring a surprise place if the other 2 get left behind, Ashva will be hoping to beat 1 home. For me Seville is the safest bet around today. And you are looking at nearly 200% interest on your investment.

NB : Midday 200 York : The racing post simply says "Class act, the one to beat." And more importantly my first Tote tentofollow points. Runner up in this race last year to Sariska, 3 group 1 wins last season speak for themselves, nothing in the 4+ mares division to challenge her this year.

TREBLE : Wikaala 250 Perth . Just a step ahead of his rivals. Should cruise home.

4-FOLD : Silly Billy 310 Salisbury. Clear highest rating in the race and connections have weighted well for a test but still kept him ahead. Hopefully the hattrick seeking Exchange will go off as favorite and we get a nice return.

Wednesday 11th May

Howdy, no blog yesterday, busy morning spent culling the rainforest that had emerged aroung the perimeter of my little bungalow. I will endeavour to blog every day but sometimes it's difficult. Very tough to find a NAP,NB etc... today but I think I have done well and I will give a little mention to my selections for Yorks meeting.

NAP : I've gone to Perth 740 for LORD REDSGIRTH, the booking of Jason Maguire is a massive positive, I know it's early days but in the current championship he has a gap over AP McCoy(could we see another Hanaghan style rally round if he's still there in 6 months time?) Last time out over C+D ran well to within 2 lengths of the very impressive looking Sivola de Sivola, however if you scan 10 lengths further back in that race was a horse called Rain Stops Play who franked the form by coming home a game winner at Sedgefield last night. Down slightly in class today should go very well indeed.

NB : MULAQEN 750 Kempton, Going for 3rd time lucky to shake the maiden tag, this horse has some serious form in the book. First time out was 2nd in a very strong race to Elas Diamond, who next time out finished a length to guineas heroine Blue Bunting. 2nd time ran a disapppointing race but the form has held up well with 3 or 4 runners going well up in class. The trainer is going well and the horse looks as though the jump to 1m4 will suit.

TREBLE : AMERICAN LADIE 220 Wincanton. Finally got it right last time after a string of nearly efforts to frustrate favorite backers. It looks as though connections have picked this race to get the horse in a bit of winning form as conditions are very similar to taht of it's last win. Will go off short but worth adding a boost to your stake for the evening double.

YORK
130 : Resurge - positive form against 14 of todays 20 runners and on that basis massively overpriced. With 4 places up for grabs welll worth an each way shout.
200 : Iceblast - Form of last time out has been franked by the 5th going on to win next time and the 7th coming in a game 3rd at windsor monday behind a very good looking sort. Huge chance
230 - Barefoot Lady - Musidora - I can't look past this little lady, both recent runs have suggested that she can go further most recently staying on 5th in the 1000 Guineas. For me only 4 can win out of the 5 here. Joviality still a maiden worries me in this class. I don't know enough about the Irish horse, and Cecils filly is prominent in the oaks betting after a decent win at Sandown but Barefoot has the real talking form and that's where i'm going.
300 - Markab - I made this between 3, Genki, Regal Parade and Markab. My only way of splitting them is that I'm greedy, I like an overprice and I'm going to take the early double figure available.
335 - Hayzoom - Another overpriced runner in an open handicap, positive form against some of the fancies suggests that realistically the price should be halved so I'm going to pop in for an each way steal.
410 - Hamza - Looked hugely impressive when winning it's maiden.2 that he beat that day have gone on to win since. Will be running in high company next year.
445 - Sud Pacifique - Had a bit of a gamble on it already this morning, may just be that the early bird bookmakers got the price slightly wrong when they opened up, but the Ryan Moore factor helps. Tight race.

Sunday 8 May 2011

Monday 9th May

No Post yesterday due to some carnage in Norfolk Saturday evening, Hope you all took advantage of the winners we found on Saturday, including Liberate (NB) at 12/1. Today I've got 3 that I'm unsure whether they can be beaten so hopefully i'm right and we can smash home a little trebel to start the week off right.

NAP : Muhandis 310 Brighton. Second in a similar race at Redcar, he was stepped up in class where he was found slightly wanting, coming in well behind the useful Glens Diamond. Back down in class today this looks a highly suitable race to win.Drawn well and right next door to his only real rival, it should be a flat sprint between Muhandis and Emilio Largo with preference to the more experienced runner.
NB : Alkimus 740 Windsor. Another maiden but first time out 4th has been smashed through the formbook roof! in subsequent races his victors have come in 1st, 2nd and 1st, with the prior 2 being Listed and Group 3 company respectively. This looks a weak enough race for Alkimos to get one on the board.
TREBLE : Your Busy 850 Roscommon. Ruby's mount has some decent form in the book, most impressively ast time out when he went down 3/4 length to Cheltenham winner Sizing Australia. Provided the trip suits back down to 2 miles there is no reason he cannot continue his run of placed efforts, (never finished out of the frame)

Roscommon : 515 Leaves you baby,  550 Longlivetheking,  650 Gold Mirage,  720 In Good Voice,  750 Native Son, 820 Rickardstown, 850 Your Busy
Towcester : 530 Good Time Toby,  630 Holoko Heights,  700 Ethiopia,  800 Armoury House
Wolverhampton : 200 Titan Diamond,  230 Van Go Go,  430 Crystal Sky
Brighton : 310 Muhandis(NAP),  440 Magical Speedfit
Redcar : 420 Thrust Control,  450 Ad Vitam
Windsor : 740 Alkimos(NB),  810 Sixty Roses

Friday 6 May 2011

Saturday May 7th

We got the NAP home yesterday quite comfortably and what an animal he looked! So that's a little bit of stake running onto Seville for the derby, before he turns World Domination over in the dante and his price gets murdered.

Todays NAP : Wotchalike 350 Hexham, ran well enough last time out to suggest he could take an open race like today, and his best runs have come on quicker ground. Positive form against his biggest tissue rival Miss Tarantella is good and that is accounted before you take off the jockeys 5lb claim, definately worth a go.
NB : Liberate 305 Haydock, Liberates forms marks positive against over half his rivals with nothing comparable to the rest, I think he's sitting ahead of the handicapper for today and at a massive price, with Phillip Hobbs going so well at the moment, has to be given a chance. If Richard Johnson was on board this would be my NAP but TJ O'Brien is a very capable deputy and Liberate will carry my money today.

I've picked out some more, but again tread carefully, i've done my work, looked at what i wanted to look at, hopefully we can find a winner or 2.
Warwick : 545 Fantasy Fighter,  745 Freckenham
Ascot : 250 Maid in Heaven, 325 Advanced, 435 Rockadoodledo, 510 Barons Spy
Nottingham : 330 Anne of Kiev, 515 Sweet Possession
Thirsk : 630 Incomparable, 730 Rosbay
Punchestowns : 345 Morning Supreme, 435 Rockadoodledo

Thursday 5th May

Good Morning, after getting through the first 2 days of Punchestown with barely a scratch, i fear the bookies are in for a pasting today with the triple threat of Garde Champetre, Quevega and Captain Chris, before i start though i will just say i'm not backing Quevega, I'm sure she will win but I think there is more value each way on another in the race, I may well disregard my own words and just steam in regardless closer to the time (i usually do) but i'm here to find value over sure things.

My 10 best bets for today in order are:
NAP : Art Value 820 Wincanton - the outsider of the 5 in the field but has the measure of 2 of it's rivals, at earlys of 16's it only needs to beat 1 unknown quantity for a 4/1 place!
NB : Baily View 605 Punchestowns - This horse hasn't won for 18 months but, still shows signs of being a decent animal, in January finished 3rd beaten 2 lengths to Beautiful sound at Fairyhouse. worth a crack at 50/1
3 : Garde Champetre 450 Punchestowns - Class Animal, class jockey, 2nd at Cheltenham to the hugely impressive Sizing Australia but that form blasted sky high by Poker de Sivola's Sandown Gold Cup win.  I understand not a working mans price but double up with a few for a 33-50% bonus on your winnings.
4 : Oniz Tiptoes 655 Wetherby
5 : Gerschwinner 515 Newton Abbott
6 : Captain Chris 640 Punchestowns (next years Queen Mother winner!)
7 : Cristalyev 630 Ffos Las
8 : Son Amix 340 Punchestowns
9 : Gentle Alice 415 Punchestowns
10 : Voler La Vedette 530 Punchestowns (do this each way and 2nd to Quevega in a forecast)

Monday 2nd May

Well yesterday has to go down as a disaster having undone the majority of Saturdays hard work. Would have been better had Frankie not mugged Together in the 1000 but we live and breathe. Today is going to be tough, lots of quantity but i fear quality has been overlooked. The best racing is to be found at the Curragh and I have made my selections for that meeting.

Sunday 1st May

I'm eagerly anticipating todays 1000 guineas and I've got a sneaky huge price chance that could well come under the radar at a big price. Yesterday just the 7 winners but with intelligent staking i made a hefty profit and hope you guys did too.

1000 Guineas. For me I make it 8 horses that can win, Havant may not have form to compare against these but Sir Micheal Stoute says she is ready and I'm not going to argue with him. On Form you can throw in Memory, I Love Me, Misty for Me, Barefoot lady, Hooray and Laughing Lashes, the first 2 are in my tote ten to follow, the last 2 are hampered by the draw with very few winners coming from that side of the park at Newmarket. But I have a sneaky suspiscion for Together.(50/1 available in places). On form he could beat Hooray, I Love Me and Memory but not Misty for Me or Laughing Lashes, it's all very confusing. As I say Laughing Lashes is hampered by the draw and Misty for Me has been tempered up as a possible winner. She's a Gallileo filly which surely can only be seen as a positive on the speed stakes. She seemed to be in better look at this time of year (may/june) last year and has to be looked at for a place prospect and maybe even a huge upset in a very open race.
