Thursday May 24th -

Morning, after a frustrating day we closed off in style with 2/2 at Sedgefield last night, ensuring a 4 and a bit point profit to level stakes. We are certainly clawing back the losses incurred earlier in the month. I forgot to put my golf on yesterday so will do that today. I'm just going to bold my NAP from now on. My NAP record this month is pretty good, 50% SR and 5.46points LSP, (proofed on OLBG.com, does not include yesterdays winner) so I think this is the way forward, I'm looking to begin to make enough to venture into horse ownership, I think it will be a case of building a bank between now and the end of the year, then really going for it next year, I'll keep you posted.

Sunday 20th May -

Right, Morning. Not the best day all round yesterday. Although Bronze Angel did claw back nearly all losses from the day. And then Spurs dumped out of the Champions League before it's even started. Gutted. But we all move on, I haven't done many races today, and I'll just do a list because I'm a bit grumpy this morning.

Saturday May 19th -

Just a quick rundown today because it's getting on.

BANGOR

345 CHICAGO ALLEY
2 poor efforts hurdling recently, hoping return to chases at winning track might ignite the flame again. Record here 4F211, the latest win coming off 8lb higher.

DONCASTER

745 BRONZE ANGEL
Trainer 3 winners from last 8 runners, Jockey rode 1393/1 double yesterday, progressive sort, 2/2 on AW over the winter. Respectable in higher grade on unsuitable ground last time.

NEWBURY

200 IBICENCO
Smart Performer in Germany and France, Second to Campanologist last time out in a group 1, this looks a nice event to kick off his UK campaign with a win.

230 WHAILEYY
Blinkers have put this one on the upward track, just beaten a short head last time out but up 5lb for the trouble. Better jockey today and every chance in very open event.

305 REWARDED
When will this one stop winning? Up in weight and trip but this one is still relatively unexposed and looks a big price on face value.

340 FRANKEL
It's more a case of how far he wins by really, no each way value either with Strong Suit taken out. Nothing will get to the first 2. Betfair are going 3 places in their place market so maybe looking for which comes third is the value effort, i see someone has backed Frankel to place at 1000 for £3, I'll be honest pal I don't fancy your chances of getting that matched! Ha Ha. If they go off rapid, Bullet train to place(top3) at 2.76 might be worth a squeak. Otherwise add the monster to your multiples, or just sit back, watch and enjoy.

NEWMARKET

215 NOBLE MISSION
Before the main attraction, little brother sets out for a home win, This should be between him and Thought Worhty, and will give us a clue on Imperial Monarch's Derby chances also, the other interesting one is Prince Alzain, who should like this trip as a grandson of Street Cry. But there was a lot to take from NM win here on Guineas day as he met a bit of trouble in running and still had plenty to see off the opposition.

245 ALEJANDRO
This is a chancy play really, on best form price is huge, decent run sandwiched by 2 poor efforts recently, but should be happy with quicker ground. Will need to be at best.

320 SAIGON
Best form of Listed victory against multiple Group winner Caspar Netscher is the best on offer here, the problem with this boy is he is not the most straightforward ride. They have a very good pilot on board today and he won't need to be better than he already has been to win this.

355 BOWDLERS MAGIC
Another big price dart really. Jockey and Trainer teamed up for a 20/1 double yesterday. On a mark of 85 today, having twice won off 84 that looks pretty well treated to me. Kept fit over winter with spins over the jumps.

540 SURAJ
Needed first run and that race is working out pretty well. Second time up made mincemeat of a weaker field. Probably doesn't travel the best, but a patient jockey on today, this is better than last time up and we'll really get a view of how good he is today.

THIRSK

255 MASKED DANCE
Back to best last week, has strung back to back wins before but can also blow out. Yard has his going well at present so hoping for the former. Open race.

405 SINGEUR / LUI REI
I'm taking 2 against the field here, the first won fresh last year and looks on a decent mark, the second won last time out and had form franked at York meeting in the week, not seen HT ride for Robert Cowell before so that could be interesting too.

UTTOXETER

655 OVERLAW
Very good reappearance after nearly a year off has seen him elevated to career high mark. Will be disappointed if beaten by my namesake in this race but I'm taking my chance here.

730 WORTH A KING'S
3/5 at this trip and has won here. Been struggling to get this one right, backed 2 runs 4th and 2nd, left alone last time out and won, typical. Was a 100+ rated hurdler when giving best so still very well in for that.

800 LITTLE CARMELA
Best form by far come here with 1 win 1 second in 2 C&D spins. Back to same mark as that second place here in October and first run for in form yard.

That's that for today, hopefully 1 or 2 winners on here somewhere. We had a decent day again yesterday so hopefully can carry on through the weekend.

I'm just having one bet tonight, 2-1 Bayern.

Good Luck and Happy Punting

Thursday 17 May 2012

Thursday 17th May -

Day 2 of the York Dante festival, and it's the featurepiece today. An interesting race and I'll go into it further down the page. Firstly I'll put up the rated races, only 4 today, that was lovely. We managed a forecast and a few winners yesterday. Loads of 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd on the cfc/ctc so we are piling the pressure on but just hitting the bar.

As only 4 races all 4 make up the Each Way Lucky 15, so I'll just mark my NAP. No requirement for bold type, that'll save me pressing ctrl+B. Lol.

PERTH

355 SOTOVIK (NAP) (3/2/6)
430 SIR TANTALLUS HAWK (NB) (7/5/8)

SALISBURY

420 ROYAL REYAH (1/9/4)
455 LOVE TALE (3/8/6)

Then a look at York and a race from HQ + 2 from Ludlow tonight.

YORK

130 STEPS / DOCTOR PARKES
I've taken 2 against the field as 16 are decd to run, most likely will only be 15 to post though as Secret Witness won here yesterday. Steps finally fulfilled his potential with a feature handicap win at Goodwood back end of last season, the second that day has won again, wink wink, he may well have needed the first run this year and hopefully that will have blown out any cobwebs. Doctor Parkes is another who is generally consistent and has the benefit of a run this year. Should be in the mix.

200 SET TO MUSIC
It's hard to dislike this filly, owned by Her Majesty the Queen. She's 4 wins and 3 places from 9 starts, neither unplaced effort were under todays jockey. She is 3/3 over the trip and 1/1 here at York. She has had 1 tilt in Group 2 company and came a very respectable second over what looked to be slighty to far. Obviously there are dangers all over the show in this race. Izzi Top won at Newmarket giving away weight and comes here on level terms, I'm a dreamer came second in a very valuable group 1 in Canada last time out, Sajhaa was second in this last year under a very good ride from Frankie, Timepiece will no doubt be better than she was at Newmarket, Beatrice Aurore was an eyecatching third on first run this year at the Craven meeting, Barefoot Lady was a consistent Group performer last year and is game as they come, and Sea of Heartbreak, not only is a group 2 winner but her jockey is in tremendous form. So you can back what you like and you have a chance if they run to their best, but I'm with Micheal Bell, Jamie Spencer and Her Majesty here.

230 EKTIHAAM
In this there are 2 unbeaten horses, Mandaean landed 2 spins n France as a 2yo and Godolphin have chosen to campaign him over here this season. Ernest Hemingway won very nicely on debut, only worry is that form not standing up as yet. Fencing is a horse I like a lot, Go team Street Cry. I'm not sure if he's as good as he has promised though, he's had a couple of chances to prove it. Although on breeding the trip here should be perfect. Ektihaam was one last year that really looked an exciting prospect until completely blowing out when stepped up to group company in the Dewhurst. He came last. He has the benefit of a run this year and a very impressive win too. 5 lengths clear of another well regarded colt. I think he and Fencing are value against the hype Bonfire.

300 BEZIQUE
This one could be a very useful recruit for Luca Cumani, looking a decent prospect in Italy before a disappointing run in their Guineas. This is a trappy race where the never to win again Fury came up highly rated, so I think this is worth a tentative pound or two. We could see a "shock" here with a fair bit of hype at the top of the market.

335 PEARL SECRET
This is another stepping stone for this horse on his way to winning the July Cup. I'm unsure how 5/6 is still available, i believe it was even a ridiculous 11/10 for the minutest of moments last night. Last time out could have won by a street, he just travelled along on the bridle, Jamie Spencer gave him a little shake to go on when he came alongside and he just cantered away, the second that day should have won next time out, but for some poor tactics. The only worrys are that his form hasn't had a huge frank, although plenty of winners out of maiden, and if he has anything off the bridle, that being said I'm not she we'll find that out until the July Cup. I put all my bets on this morning, then put the rest of my account on this one. Good Luck.

NEWMARKET
 805 STARBOARD
A very well regarded colt done it nicely last time out, comes here seriously unexposed compared to the 2 realistic rivals and should do this nicely before going onto bigger and better things.

LUDLOW

640 PILGRIMS LANE
Looks to have a nice each way chance for progressive Trainer/Jockey combo. Cheekpieces are back on after a couple of poor jumping rounds, but is a C&D winner.

745 WIESENTRAUM
Trip and Ground are perfect for this one, eyecatching jockey booking of the man pushing AP at the top of the table at the moment, Aidan Coleman. This is only his second ride for the yard. Poor run last time appears to be blamed on the headgear as it has been removed. Another cracking each way chance at double figure odds.

FOOTBALL

Just one small bet today
MJALLBY are in decent form at the moment and look overpriced at home to Gothenberg.

Good Luck and Happy Punting.

Wednesday 16 May 2012

Wednesday 16th May -

I'll start today with the races i've rated, also something I've been trying is cfc/ctc on the rated races, yesterday I picked up 2 forecasts and almost landed a tricast, 1st, 2nd and 4th. Then I've obviously had a bet at York, so I'll run down my thinking behind those selections, also some nice races at Naas tonight so I've picked some out of there. My readership has gone down since I stopped tipping every race, I don't think it's something I'll go back to because it takes too much of my time, but if there is anything you would like to see on this blog then let me know.
As I said I'll start with the rated races. Bold type are the selections for the lucky, numbers in brackets after selection are cfc/ctc picks and i guess essentially dangers. These are all done on numerical ratings and there is every chance something may improve beyond known form and find their way in to mess me up. :-)

BATH

540 MISS BOOTYLISHES (1/6/4)
810 MISERERE MEI (8/3/9)
840 MAYDREAM (NAP) (7/4/6)

FONTWELL

210 LAJIDAAL (1/3/4)
345 MANJAM (9/3/6)
420 DELGANY GUNNER (7/4/10)
455 THE CLYDA ROVER (5/3/2)

LINGFIELD

430 IDOL DEPUTY (5/8/12)
535 BROUGHTONS BANDIT (3/1/10)

NAAS

620 ROYAL VISIT (2/10/9)

PERTH

700 THE HOLLINWELL (1/7/9)
800 KARINGA QUEEN (5/4/6)
900 EASEMENT (NB) (2/1/10)

Then my YORK bets.

130 LABARINTO
Some decent efforts last year, peaking with a win in a similar event over the trip at the "glorious" Goodwood meeting. Potentially his final run of the year was one too many, either that or wasn't ready after a couple months off, same really his first run this year will most likely have been needed, over what was an unsuitable trip. Back up in distance here, Jockey and Trainer both have good records here.

200 YORK GLORY / INSTANCE
I almost spat my coffee out when I saw that my top rated horse for this race was called York Glory, very consistent last year, won on only visit to this racecourse. I feel this meeting will get people sitting up and taking notice of the Makin/Ryan partnership as they will have a big year in the big meetings. The other selection from the other end of the stalls, always a decent idea to go for one from each end, is Instance. This one will go well fresh, he will stay on at the finish, especially if they go a solid clip up front. Won 3/5 starts, 2/3 at the trip, both defeats have come when turned out within a fortnight.

230 THE FUGUE
This represents value versus the favourite Twirl, I'm sure she has ability Twirl, and comes from a yard that you always have to respect, but her form just hasn't been working out, bar Homecoming Queen, nothing really has stood out from her races to date. Whereas The Fugue ran an eyecatching never-nearer 4th in the Guineas suggesting to the world that she wanted further. I don't think anything else will challenge for the win here.

300 SIRIUS PROSPECT
This one has more to give than what we have seen so far, should have some pace to chase today, I fully expect him to at least make the frame so I'd urge you to snap up the double figure odds while they are about, I was flabbergasted to see him at 16/1 this morning, that has now gone due to a non runner, so I'll have a deduction on my bet. He's 4/7 at the trip, 1/1 here at York and 3/6 under todays jockey. If it wasn't for 2 below par runs this season he'd be going off about 9/2 today. First run was needed, second run wasn't run to suit. I thought the French raider Restiadargent was an interesting danger and not without a chance.

410 LAST CHANCE LUCAS
Shock 100/1 winner last time and I think odds today suggest that to have been a fluke, sure he has to improve to win this, but so does everything else. Clearly he's the value of the race, and in my opinion only needs to come on as much as anything else to make the frame again, sadly not at 100/1 though.

445 WARFARE / BACCARAT
A choice of 2 northern giants here, Ryan/Makin or Fahey/Hanaghan, and both have more to give than we've already seen, which has been impressive, both are drawn over the same side. Warfare comes here with a penalty after a decent Ascot win last week, he should progress far beyond that penalty. Baccarat comes fresh and that is the only worry for me.

NAAS

550 DAWN APPROACH
This one is highly thought of by connections, and won nicely on debut, form which was franked by 2nd, 3rd and 4th all winning next time out. Dangers Canary Row was 2nd on debut behind but has benefit of one extra run, Parliament Square is an unraced Acclamation colt from the powerful O'Brien yard, and Tennessee Wildcat won nicely on debut putting away a decent sort who went off 1/3 fav next time out. So a great race for juvenile enthusiasts to enjoy, no doubt the market will offer up some clues but I'm going with the likely favourite from the first crop of New Approach.

720 PRINCESS HIGHWAY
There was a lot to like about this daughter of Street Cry's victory last time out, beating a well regarded O'Brien filly in the process. She has a ribblesdale entry for Royal Ascot so connections think a lot of her, and it she comes on from that first run of the year then she could be very good this year.

 Good Luck and Happy Punting

GOLF
BYRON NELSON CLASSIC
My main two picks are
K. BRADLEY 18/1
R. GARRIGUS 75/1

Plus i've taken guidance for small each way bets for
B. ADAMS 100/1 (Sporting, Coral)
J.J. HENRY 150/1
B. JOBE 150/1
A. ATWAL 150/1 (Stan James)
M. JONES 150/1
These aren't my tips or selections I am following advice taken from the PGA tour website.

Sunday 13 May 2012

Sunday 13th May -

Morning ladies and gents, A huge day in the Premier League with the title, europe and relegation all to be decided. It's giving me goosebumps just thinking about it.
I have some football bets and I'll try to narrow them down a bit after I've given you my horses. I hope 1 or 2 of you followed me in on the Finnish games yesterday, both selections were winners, I do like Scandinavian football. Right you guys are mostly here for the horses, right? So lets get on.

Only 2 selections on this bonny island of ours today.

SIRCOZY 410 PLUMPTON

He has finished in the top 3 on over half of his NH starts, most of the blips have been in better class races, the ground should be fine, and todays jockey piloted him to his most recent victory. It's a pretty open race this but on what the selection has achieved recently Paddy Power's 7/1 looks very generous.

TARKARI 420 WORCESTER

I made this race bang between the selection and Special Agent Alfie, the latter has to be respected with the trainer in great form, but at 9/1 vs 7/4 with William Hill it's plainly obvious where I believe the value lies. I've completely missed the fact that he ran yesterday, haha, he probably won't run today, last night in fact! If he doesn't run then it should be a shoein for the favourite, if he does run then they must think he's a chance. Oops just ignore me here, it's sunday morning! What I'm saying though is that this one has a huge chance if running, especially since he was out last night, but i very much doubt he will line up.

Now onto Ireland.

Shall we look at the jumpity-jump first? why not?

DEUTSCHLAND 325 KILLARNEY

Back from a lay off, this dual purpose performer should be expected to be well, especially for this yard, and interesting that Ruby jumps on. Decent second in a similar race off a similar mark back in April 2010 is his boardmark for today really, I think he's overpriced really at Boylesports 14/1, and I'd pretty sure expect some interest given trainer/jockey combo. I also thought Whodoyouthink could outrun 40/1 odds, whether he can make the frame or not is another question.

DINGALING 355 KILLARNEY

It will be interesting to see what sort of price this one opens up, the RP tissue says 9/2 the exchanges have been sitting around 10.5/11.5 I'd be very happy to have a play anywhere above the mean line there. Won his bumper on his only visit to the track, and hasn't done a vast amount wrong hurdling without managing to break his maiden, looks to be on a fair mark for his handicap debut and worth a play.

COOLDINE 425 KILLARNEY

If he can find even most of the ability he had in the last few years, he will win this. He has been pretty below par of late though. The trainer has persevered though and this looks a more suitable task than the cross country race he tried at lto. 7/1 is too big a price for a horse that has rubbed shoulders with the best, he beat Denman in April 2010. Zaarito is a decent horse, but he has found it difficult to win since Novice company so there is zero value backing him at almost even money.

ISLAND PEAK 455 KILLARNEY

This one comes here in good form, finally getting his head in front last time after beginning to develop a reputation for not putting it in at the end, i'd suggest this is the time to catch him as his previous runs suggest there is a fair bit of ability in there. This will be a tougher ask than last time, but I have him clear on my ratings and hoping for a big run. He is reunited with last times winning jockey also.

Now some flat from the Emerald Isle.

FAMOUS NAME 245 LEOPARDSTOWN

I'm not really sure what I have to write here, this is your banker of the day, if this one is beaten I will post a £10 betting voucher to the first person who tweets me @GSPCECOYS and calls me out on it. At 2/7 it's not a working mans price, so you have 2 options, either add him to every selection you back for a double, essentially adding a 28% bonus. Or play the forecast, on my ratings i have Barack very slightly second best.

REMEMBER ALEXANDER 315 LEOPARDSTOWN

This is a very tough race to call, I have Coral Wave, Remember Alexander and Yellow Rosebud almost identical, with Princess Sinead, Rubina and Alla Speranza very very close in behind. I've made an attempt on the value and sided with Jessica Harrington's filly, RA, I used the other as my TEAMNAP, but it's small stakes only, I just think she is the one i'd rather back at the prices and can see her making the 3 at least.

LIGHT HEAVY 345 LEOPARDSTOWN

I think this one will be a big player in whichever Derby he goes for, English or Irish, or both. The form of his Ballysax win took a bit of a hit on paper when 2 rivals disappointed at Chester this week, although realistically that form needs to be taken with a pinch of salt given the ground. He gets a weight allowance from Group 1 winner Wrote and is seriously less exposed.

STRANDFIELD LADY 415 LEOPARDSTOWN

The outsider of the six, he loves it here, 5/7 of his career wins have come here, the other two at Dundalk. Slipping to a very considerate mark, has won here off 80. I expect a decent effort for my money today, maybe a place, maybe even a win.

TIGER AT HEART 515 LEOPARDSTOWN

I think Jim Bolgers charge can make the frame if he gets the trip, he has had a couple of looks at a racecourse now and should come on for that. The only issue is the stamina down the Dam line doesn't really exist. John Oxx's Allowed the other big runner.

My picks for Longchamp.

130 MASTERSTROKE

FOOTBALL

Well it could well be a minefield today. I'll give my bests.

Best win : WIGAN to beat Wolves (widely 8/13)
Best Lay : ARSENAL at 1.71
Best BTTS : Swansea v Liverpool (4/6 Blue Square)
Best Over 2.5 : Chelsea v Blackburn (4/9 BetVictor)

Good Luck whatever you play today, and Happy Punting.

Saturday 12th May -

Morning all, we are on the way back! I haven't worked out the exact numbers from yesterday but I think the 38.5pt return on the Lucky 15 was more than acceptable, and much deserved for all my loyal followers. It will just be a list today as there are lots and I have to get on, Saturdays are always very busy for me. I'm trying a Lucky 31 today, 1pt win, i couldn't decide which one to leave out for a 15.

Friday 11th May -

Praise the lord, it's the final day of Chester. To be fair I need this weather to sort itself out because I'm struggling to find the winners. Early signs today look promising, especially where I am, there is a big yellow ball in the sky, and it's tranversing some warmth through my living room window. I have a fair few selections today so I will keep it short for each one, I also have an E/W Double and a win Lucky 15 for you guys today. Had a bit of a result checking through my open bets this morning, I had Ricky Lambert as top Championship goalscorer at 20/1 in a lucky 15, nothing with him mind, but that will come in handy after the weekend, plus prospectively another with Man City/Charlton at 7/2, 8/1. That will just about cover the money I have laid Man City for on Betfair, ha ha.
In the Golf we've had a promising start fom David Toms, the rest have been poor, Dufner maybe could get himself back in with a decent Friday or Saturday. Right I'll get on. I'll bold type the multi selections.

ASCOT

525 SOMEONE'S DARLING
Didn't make experience count when sent off favourite last time out, but was hampered towards the finish so bare result looks worse than actual. The Tissue of 12/1 and I think I saw on exchanges for about 11.5, is too big about a horse that was sent off 2/1 Favourite last time out. The 2nd and 3rd have both run well since.

600 GRAPHIC GUEST
I put this one up for her maiden, she ran very encouragingly in 3rd, the 2nd came out and won at Chester yesterday, the winner was well fancied to follow up but went wrong. This looks a solid opening to break her duck and move onto better things.

710 SPYKES BAY
First attempt on turf, and looks on a pretty decent mark, form of maiden win has worked out okay, huge step up in class last time didn't work out but hasn't been mistreated on the back of that, If he handles conditions he could well be a big player here.

745 SULIS MINERVA
Arguably has it to prove on the soft ground, but sire stats aren't discouraging, in fact about 33% on bottomless ground! Jeremy Gask has his running well at present and this one is one of his better ones. This is a tricky open race but I'm happy with 100/30 about this consistent performer.

820 CHILLI GREEN
This one has arguably the best chance of the win here, he has never won on turf, and this is his first try at the trip, but sometimes we have to take a gamble, right? I probably wouldn't take a price here as I'd estimate there being more layers than backers, but given what he's up against that could work in our favour.

CHESTER

135 DUBAI DYNAMO
This one has been running very well without truly troubling the judge, he's drawn well here and will relish the trip over this ground, trainer is in decent nick at present, he ticks all the boxes really. I'm backing this one to upset the Dr Koukash party in this race.

205 ASTROLOGY
Here is one who has made it onto my blog on a couple of occasions, and given that his official rating is identical to Bonfire, and they carry identical weights, at 7/2 versus 5/6 is essentially value. Both at the top are having their first runs of the season, so could well both be trumped especially trying a new distance, so on that basis I wouldn't fancy backing odds on, and therefore Astrology is my pick.

235 BROWN PANTHER
The Panther was a favourite of mine last term, and I'm hoping he will be again this, he has a tough test here with Memphis Tennessee especially round this tight track, but he has won here and the ground will give him the edge. I'm very tempted to have a pound on Calico Cat, his sire Tiger Hill has a better progeny strikerate on soft than any other ground, he is half brother to the very good Ibn Khaldun, plus Memory Cloth and current Godolphin horse My Destination. Shouldn't be 250/1, but with only 4 runners I'd assume connections will take a nice bit of the prizemoney here for the run.

305 DAM BEAUTIFUL
This Sleeping Indian filly comes here under a small penalty for a pretty solid win last time out, trip and surface should be fine probably the only worry is the jockey if it comes down to a straight shootout between her and Ballesteros.

340 ORPSIE BOY
If it wasn't for the potential of the Ruth Carr double, this race wouldn't have even been on the blog today. Under a penalty for a Thirsk win and softer ground the slight issues, but one of my favourite orses at this level and a huge chance to follow up.

415 DIAMONDS IN HER EYES
I couldn't let the meeting go by without tipping one for the doctor, she attracted support in the betting on debut suggesting they think a little of her, she was slow from the stalls but stayed on well, doing her best work late one. She certainly looks one to take forward, hopefully she can do it here.

I'm Bored At Work

<p>I just thought i'd scribe something on my phone whilst bored at work. The racing has been poor today, in fact the only thing poorer than the racing itself, were my tips therein. Luckily I managed to get a monkey off my back with the impressive maiden winner Great Heavens. At present I have a chap from a rival bookmaker playing roulette, and doing race by race dogs I have an actual gypsy and his mate, a 28 year old caucasian male who dresses like Dappy. I have 2 hours to sit here. I have a couple of books I can read, I have one about Mark Cavendish and Steve Palmer's Born To Punt. I am a huge fan of Cav, and of cycling itself, so much so that my wife dreads July due to the wall to wall coverage of the Tour De France, the rest of the year she just asks "which Tour De What is this one?" I've never done a blog from my phone before so we'll see how it turns out, it may well become a regular feature when I work nights. We'll treat this one as an introduction to me. Obviously I'm a sports nut, anything floats my boat really, except perhaps Netball, as good as it is to watch I have little idea what is actually going on. Horses, Football, Cycling, Tennis, NFL, F1 and Boxing are major priorities in my life. My other lifelong love is the emotional rollercoaster of being a Spurs fan. I'm regularly frustrated being a Tottenham fan, but I think even with the recent slide into account we have had a very good season, we gambled on releasing some deadwood in January and it may well yet still backfire on us especially if Chelsea win in Munich next Saturday. Hopefully though in can pave the way to strengthen the squad to challenge on all fronts next season. Other than sport my world is dominated by the PCE in my twitter handle, my 3 children. P is 4 years old and starts school in September, I really don't know where the time has gone, she is bright as a button just like her daddy, but has his quirks too. C is my boy, named after my Grandfather who was my ultimate idol as a child, he is now about 20 months old and very much a boy, climbing, jumping and fighting. E is the bubba, she was 3 months yesterday, and realistically completed our family. She is doing very well, growing strong and taking a few wallops from her elder siblings so she'll be a tough one. I hope you enjoyed this little insight into me. I think I'll write another next time on a night, I will think of a topic between now and then, or if anyone has a suggestion then just comment below. Guy

Thursday 10th May -

Not the best start to the Chester meeting, not a single winner yesterday, It's a shame, perhaps I should do every race again! However yesterday my alerts threw up 3 winners, 1 at 22/1! So I'm going to list my alerts at the bottom and add statistics for them on the side, they are just ones that have caught my eye or had a form boost over time, 4 unplaced runs between wins removes them from the list, any that have had a formboost since previous run and already in alerts receives a star, so that's how we'll go on.
I think many punters will have been left very annoyed by the late decision to use a flag start on yesterdays feature event. Most people, like myself, will surely have used the draw as a big starting point and that was essentially thrown out of the window. I guess these things happen, and safety of all involved is the paramount concern, so if Chester Racecourses feel they made the right decision for everyone involved then so be it.
Just heard Goodwood is off, so that means only Chester this afternoon, and just Yarmouth and Wincanton tonight, who incidently both inspect later this morning! This weather is crazy at the moment.

CHESTER

135 M&S MONEY HANDICAP

A significant class drop for Andrew Balding's OPERA GAL, she acts on soft and hopefully will go well back in handicap company. Drawn low which is ideal here.

205 BETFAIR HUXLEY STAKES - Group 3

Group race maiden HUNTERS LIGHT gets weight from Questioning here and I think that will give him the edge, Saeed Bin Suroor is knocking in a semi-decent strike rate at the moment, 16% in last 2 weeks, (only 6% from start of season) so it appears that currently is a moment to catch him right. The selection should handle trip and ground fine, he is drawn wider than ideal but the field isn't huge, the only issue is his Group race hoodoo, 0-3, he has won 4/5 starts in lower company.

235 MBNA CHESTER VASE - Group 3

John Oxx sends over CALL TO BATTLE, he has done all his best work late on suggesting that he wants a trip, was a never nearer second last time out to the very impressive Light Heavy, and comfortably dealt with todays rival David Livingston, Dubai listed scorer Mickdaam also looked like he would relish a step up in trip when chasing down Rougemont in the Tattersalls Millions Trophy at Newmarket last month. The bottom two aren't without hope either, both are seriously unexposed, Minimise Risk won pretty gamely last time out, although form of that race yet to work out, Model Pupil landed a decent maiden at Newmarket and that race has seen a couple of winners, especially the ultra impressive Suraj who destroyed his next opposition.

305 BOODLES DIAMOND ETERNITY HANDICAP

GABRIAL is the favourite here and looks to have a chance, 2 very good spins as a 2 year old were followed by quite simply being outclassed at Royal Ascot, shaped very much as if he needed the run last time out, and hopefully he'll provide the good Doctor with his customary winner today.

340 EQUESTRIANARTUK.COM E.B.F MAIDEN STAKES

Of the few with a run, the only one that makes any appeal is Lucky Beggar, he had absolutely no chance on debut against the hugely impressive Baileys Jubilee. I'm having an outside bet of STRASBOURG PLACE, she is a well bred filly and could go well, yard don't generally fire them out first time, but there is always the exception to prove the rule, right?

415 INVESTEC STRUCTURED PROJECTS HANDICAP

I like the unexposed Dascombe gelding MARFORD MISSILE, James Doyle gets the ride and he is a young man who is going places very quickly, all 4 runs to date have worked out pretty well with winners firing in across the board, a decent second at this meeting last year to the very good Lily's Angel. He also landed his maiden win on ground softer than good so should be a big player here.

445 CHESHIRE OAKS HANDICAP

I'm taking a shot at the Hills' second string here, EARLY APPLAUSE, there is something to like about his form and he will handle the ground fine, he will be fit for this have had a couple of NH spins over the winter, he finished last season with a decent spin over the trip at Windsor, under todays pilot. Winners and Places have come both from in front and behind of him on that occasion.

WINCANTON

705 32 RED CASINO HANDICAP CHASE

It's no surprise or coincidence that when the mud starts flying Venetia Williams strike rate soars, every year the same thing happens, so much so that her first choice jockey, Aidan Coleman, currently leads the NH jockeys championship! They team up with MARESCOU here who on your tabloid racecards will make little to no appeal, he won a decent event in France, both runs since transferring to this country were on much better ground whereas he had been racing on far softer muck in France, if the going suits, as I think it will, then this one could land us some £££.

YARMOUTH

520 blah blah blah MAIDEN FILLIES STAKES

Not a lot has worked out from GREAT HEAVEN'S maiden, but with that experience under her belt and of course her breeding, she is a full sister to Nathaniel, she is the one to beat here, the Stoute newcomer Monshak looks the biggest threat.

Good Luck and Happy Punting.

Morning, a crackingly open card at Chester, I really can't go into too much detail because the card is so open I could make a case for most. I have a couple of bets on the outside cards, I'll just list these today if you'll humour me that. I'm going to bold type my 4 selections for a lucky 15, you can do it win or each way, entirely up to you. I'll say each way as 3/4 are over 5/1.

CHESTER

135 MANOR HOUSE STABLES LILY AGNES CONDITIONS STAKES

The sponsors declared 5 runners in this initially, but that is down to 3 now, and I think their best chance is Wayne and Colleen's Pippy. He's well bred but newcomers from this yard have needed a run so far this term, Just Past Andover won very nicely last time out, but he's already had 4 runs and that looked a pretty weak event. I'm siding with THARAWAL LADY, form of her comfortable win on soft at Beverley last time is beginning to work out okay, I have a lot of time for the jockey, Tom Eaves, she has the plum draw and gets weight all round.

205 WETHERBYS BANK CHESHIRE OAKS

Aidan O'Brien won this last year, and this year sends over the well respected BetterBetterBetter, AOB has a 50% strike rate with his raiders this season and this one will be a huge player, but there is something unnerving about Dundalk maiden winners picking up Black type! Absolute Crackers is another Irish raider who makes appeal, broke her maiden on the 5th attempt, after consecutively bumping into one too good, including 2 starts ago 1000 Guineas winner Homecoming Queen. I'm going with ZAINA here, unexposed and certainly looks every inch that the trip will suit, she had 2 staying-on seconds over a mile, before stepping up to 1m2f and running away nicely. The form of that race is certainly working out with the 2nd,4th,5th and 8th all winning next time out. Dane O'Neill takes the reigns.

235 STANJAMES.COM CHESTER CUP

A pretty open renewal, last years comfortable winner Overturn returns and will no doubt again attempt to make all, he is drawn slightly wider than ideal but I'm not sure they'll worry too much about that. I'm going with Cesarewich hero NEVER CAN TELL as a win bet and the consistent stayer DAZINSKY as a Place bet. Both are well drawn and have the ability to go well. Gulf of Naples has to be respected under a penalty, and Henry Cecil's Ajaan on best form could go close, well drawn.

305 STELLAR GROUP HANDICAP

9 of the last 10 winners of this have come from the bottom 6 stalls, Front runners do well, and any movers around the middle of the market should be duly noted. I've gone with one who could well spring this. STAR ROVER, he is drawn 6, he has been struggling to get home recently over 6f-7f, he has been a winner over 5f and is currently 1lb lower than his last win. He'll handle soft ground and look to be prominent. currently 14/1-16/1 but was 20/1+ overnight so has seen some support, it wasn't my 25p that moved it I'm sure. :-)

340 GL EVENTS OWEN BROWN MAIDEN STAKES

Again the O'Brien raider Father of Science merits respect, a half brother to the very good High Chapparal. I'm looking closer to home for the winner though and siding with STAR DATE. Full brother to the smart Quest for Peace, he met a pretty smart colt last time out, and form from that has been franked, he has plenty to give by the look of it and again Dane O'Neill rides.

415 IRISH THOROUGHBRED MARKETING CONDITIONS STAKES

I make this between the well drawn front running pair of Addictive Dream and NOBLE STORM, it will essentially come down to who handles the soft ground better and I've gone for the selection because i think he will, and I believe him to be better value, AD is too short and seemed a little overraced, in my opinion, towards the end of his dubai campaign.

445 MERSEYRAIL DAY SAVER TICKET HANDICAP

I very much like Rosslyn Castle, he is a horse I've followed, he's only had 2 runs I know, but he ran very well on debut before hosing up next time out, he will be a huge player, but I'm siding with the local hope here, one I've been waiting to see run again THIRD HALF, form of his runs have had numerous boosts over the winter campaign and his half brother Brown Panther won this last year on his way to bigger and better things.

Tuesday 8th May - Back to Basics

Morning all, I'm going to be honest, this multiple tipping lark is beginning to grate on me. I'm going to look at class 3+ and 2/3 year old races only + any alerts I get each day. Hopefully this can improve the quality of the tips, and free up some time for me to keep the blog informative and up to date. Yesterday I was kept financially floating by my TEAMNAP selection, TEAMNAPS is a daily tipping competition run through Twitter by @glennphil2010, results and leaderboard etc.. can be found on his blog www.gstarfrankels.blogspot.com

I'll get started then.

CATTERICK

610 Just the one selection for me at Catterick. LUCY BEE, by Haafhd, she is related to a few winners and gets saddled by the very good Keith Dalgleish. Nothing much has happened to suggest the ones with a run are of a standard, and the selection makes the most appeal to me of the newcomers, I'd rate the danger another newcomer Pixilated, but that one could well make an impression on the All Weather, going by the results of his relatives.

EXETER

655 My TEAMNAP selection is BUCK MAGIC, This one has seen substantial support in the market overnight. This gelding could turn out to be a very smart hurdler, winning 2 novice events before 2 very good runs at this level. He comfortably has the beating of a couple of todays rivals on formlines and should go well. Nick Schofield gets the ride and , in my opinion, he is an intelligent jockey, one who's done me well in the past. I like this one a lot.

825 I have 2 alerts for this race, they happen to be FAV and 2FAV, both will relish the test, and provided they both go off odds-against I will be dutching ATLANTIC ROLLER and SEEBRIGHT.

FAKENHAM

330 KILMACOWEN put in a very decent effort in a top class race at Aintree and this represents a significant drop in class, his consistency around this level gave him every right to contest that better event. His previous run he comfortably dispatched of Grand National fancy Shakalakaboomboom. The ATR tissue says Evens and I think on what he has achieved, that is a decent price, I expect him to be short so just grab as close to Evens as you can get.

400 in my opinion this is a 2-horse race between chasing debutants Same Difference and DEIREADH RE, the selection is from the Nicholls yard and Harry Derham takes off a very handy 7lb. Again the price will be short but as long as not odds on it's a bet. The danger is ridden by Sam Twiston Davies who can win or lose you races with his style. He likes to jump the field and run them into the ground whilst throwing his horse at the fences. When it works he is brilliant, but he can take some pretty heavy falls.

PUNCHESTOWN

450 TO THE SKY is an alert horse, he has put in some decent efforts behind decent horses, and this looks a decent opening to get off the mark.

520 WHISPERING HILLS also appears on my Alerts, A decent second in a similar event 2 starts ago, and like that day he has a smart Mullins horse to beat, that serves to get you a slightly inflated price as he is against a sexy-yard, so he is the value if he leaves his poor bumper effort last time behind him, blinkers have been removed.

550 CRASH is my NAP of the day, I think he is my massively overpriced,  Crash has been fancied for top class events, an error put him wrong last time out and the distance between winner and himself is flattering. This looks a nice opening for him in handicap company, obviously there is a big prize on offer so he has some smart types to beat, but is more than capable on his best form.

650 PEAK RAIDER is an Alert horse, he is a strong traveller and that suits with his jockey Paul Carberry, could go wrong if both horse and jockey showboat, but if they get it right he should be in the frame, disappointing run last time out has inflated the price so he is value.

720 I like SUMKINDASUPRSTAR, he is a progressive type and comfortably has the beating of the morning favourite on their last effort, he should stick to the task and put in a big run, at 9/1 he is almost an Each way bet. He has won here, and the trip should be fine. He is another who gets a bigger price as not from a big name yard.

SOUTHWELL

215 David Brown chucked out a very smart looking 2yo on Sunday, and this ACE PEARL could well be another, even if he isn't I'd suggest he is probably smart enough to win this. Only slight issue is that he has already been gelded.

315 In a 2 horse race I'm siding with Godolphins TAJRIBA, I just think that SDS will ride the track better than Buick, and SBS has a very good recond when sending horses to this course.

345 Buick can get a winner here though, imo LEGAL LEGACY has a big chance, form not the best, but jockey booking encouraging and he is in my alerts so I must have seen something somewhere down the road. Elhamri a danger.

415 PETER ANDERS has the form and connections in the book if taking to fibresand, who knows what the Ellisom horse will do. at the moment they share favouritism and the market should tell us later on.

515 It wouldn't be a Southwell blog without BONNIE PRINCE BLUE appearing, a smart hold up horse that if timed right can really make an impression at the finish. No penalty for last time out 2nd, and the market suggests only one to beat, again from the Ellison yard so any narrowing in the gap will be encouraging.

Good Luck and Happy Punting.

Monday 7 May 2012

Monday 7th May - Bank Holiday Bonanza

Morning, what a weekend huh? I don't think there is any doubt about it, that was my worst weekend ever tipping/betting. I actually left Newmarket with nothing but shrapnel in the pockets! Don't panic though it didn't all go to the bookies, the bars and foodstands got their fair share. Mrs B managed to back Izzi Top, my biggest mistake was my plan to dutch the Godolphin pair in the 500, in the paddock I favoured Kailani over Lacily, but on route to post Kailani travelled like a shit and even dumped Mickael off up the top, so Guy being a clever dick placed all his money on Lacily!!! It was a decent day out though, I enjoy the races. The only sour point was the loss of Gray Pearl, it became quite an eerie atmosphere. I saw Charles Hills and his wife shortly after the race, I didn't speak to them, they don't know me, they were discussing with another couple, I was eavesdropping. They were absolutely distraught, my greatest condolences go out to them. Anyway we have to move on. Before you stake too big today just remember the old adage that Bank Holiday racing is just Monday racing in a nice dress and heels. The card at the Curragh is nice. I won't wax into why I've chosen my selecs today as there are a lot, I might tweet a few if i have time, I probably will, the bookies aren't hugely busy on bank holidays, it looks pretty bright out today so the wives will probably wield the whips.

No TREBLE today.

BTTS AUXERRE v BORDEAUX

Sunday 6 May 2012

Sunday 6th May - The 1000 Guineas

Well the colts served up a treat, now it's the turn of the fillies. I say a treat, it was an okay race, the one i'd take from the race would be Coupe De Ville who came home second of the far side group in 5th. Camelot just oozed winning, the trip didn't suit, the ground didn't suit, but Joseph timed his run perfectly and he showed his true credentials. He's no Frankel, but it will be the last time he races over a trip this short, so it was a good run.
Todays card at HQ is very open. I've had a look and I'll give you a brief insight into where my money is going and why. I shall be there today, if you want to come and say hello I'm 6'4", with jet black hair, tied in a ponytail, and either myself or my female companion will be pushing a pram. P.S mines an Adnams, cheers. lol.

NEWMARKET

205 QIPCO SUPPORTS BRITISH RACING HANDICAP

I'm just putting up one in the opener as an each way bet provided it stays in double figures. Sylvester Kirk's CHARLES CAMOIN. SK has his string in fine fettle at present and often pops up with one or two decent price winners at these big meetings. There may be one or two unexposed here but this chap is progressing, the only blip being last years King George V, where the ultra-impressive Brown Panther put the field to the sword. He's won from Sotf to Gd-Frm so whatever the ground does shouldn't cause an issue.

235 QATAR BLOODSTOCK DAHLIA STAKES (Group 3)

TIMEPIECE is the proven class in the race, last year I said I didn't think she was a Group 1 horse and she went and won 1 and shd 2nd another, so proved me wrong. She's won here, she's won on GS, she will handle the trip, and has to have a huge chance getting weight from the younger Gosden filly, who I make the danger.

315 QIPCO 1000 GUINEAS STAKES (Group 1)

Like yesterday Aidan O'Brien has a very strong favourite here. Maybe done absolutely nothing wrong last year. I wouldn't be a layer either, but for my pennies her price just doesn't appeal, Maybe-Timepiece double perhaps a little more. I'm having a go at an upset with the Godolphin filly LYRIC OF LIGHT. I feel she has much more to give this year and is only officially rated 4lb lower than Maybe with 2 fewer runs. Both horses are Group 1 winners, but LOL came here over this trip whereas Maybe was at home over 7. These are my reasonings for this. That and the fact that she is sired by a certain chap I have an affinity with. My other one is a bit more left field but if she runs a huge race she has a squeak. Mick Channon's LAUGH OUT LOUD, we don't really know too much as to how she will go here as she is 211 and all runs on the AW. But she is progressing at a rate of knots and looks a group horse in the making. Sky Bet and Ladbrokes go 50/1 and that is too big a price for me not to look at.

350 QATAR RACING HANDICAP

I've put 2 in here, Richard Fahey's ALBEN STAR, and Henry Candy's THE CONFESSOR. Hoping for a big run from each in what is a ridiculously open sprint handicap. Both will likely come late so hopefully I will be cheering them both in.

425 MAKFI FUTURE STARS MAIDEN STAKES

Not a race I'm getting too involved in until I've seen them, the benefit of getting off your backside and going to the races, but on paper I'm interested to see what KIMBERELLA can do. Full brother to a decent multiple black type horse.

500 PRETTY POLLY STAKES

Another pretty open race with some unexposed sorts. Both Godolphin entries are well bred and could well grab a 1-2, I'm siding with LACILY over KAILANI, but if they both look well I may indeed dutch them when the time calls for it.

535 AL RAYAN HANDICAP

I've picked out 2 here, obviously the favourite Samba King holds appeal having proven himself as very game recently, but I'm taking him on firstly with Andrew Balding's OPEN WATER, this is a big rise in class for him, but he was only beaten last time by one that looks a very smart prospect. Secondly I've gone for the inform Brian Meehan and his entry NELSON'S BAY. I think this one is a big price, the jockey may not be flavour of the month with some but he doesn't give the younger horses a hard time (well any for that matter) and they seem to respond to him sometimes.

Right enjoy those,  here's the multis. No win lucky but i've done 2 each way ones for you .

Saturday 5 May 2012

Saturday 5th May - It's Guineas Weekend

There's going to be a few changes to the blog, basically it's going to be streamlined a little. I'm going to look at the best races each day, plus any alerts I have, some course specialists, and a look at the juvenile races. Essentially I'm dropping the class 5/6 races down the bog as they are using up a lot of my time. I have a very busy homelife, I work full time, my eldest child needs a lot of our time at the moment, plus the 2 others, I also have a training course that for one reason or another I'm too far behind and need to catch up. The weekend/festival blogs will remain pretty full as the racing is of a significantly improved standard. I shall try to maintain any multiples to the same stakes where applicable, but if i don't look at the volume of races required, it's not going to happen.

Right I'll start with HQ,
NEWMARKET
Houses the first classic of the season, I've looked at each race in turn and I'll run down my thoughts.

200 MAKFI SUFFOLK STAKES
My first choice in this is Roger Charlton's PROPONENT, young James Doyle has really grasped the opportunity that has been thrust upon him and he is riding out of his skin. Runner up in this last year, he went pretty well in a few races after without winning, before being put away for the winter. He hasn't really required a run in the past so I'd trust to give his running fresh and could well be a big player. I also like DANADANA, another who comes into the race fresh, he is less exposed than a lot of these. He won on his first start last year and could well be a horse to follow this season. Golden girl Hayley Turner gets the leg up from Luca Cumani.
As for staking, that's your perogative, I'll be backing both the same stake, good luck.

230 QATAR JOCKEY CLUB STAKES (Group 2)
I've sided with the french raider here MEANDRE, a good campaign last year, probably wasn't suited by the electric pace of the Arc. I've seen this chap possess an explosive finish so if he has it left at he end expect him to win going away. I'm unsure as to whether St Leger hero MASKED MARVEL will run as he wants the ground better ideally, and obviously multi-national scorer DUNADEN requires respect but it will be tough for him giving away weight with cut in the ground, in my opinion.
So just a bet on MEANDRE here.

310 QIPCO 2000 GUINEAS (Group 1)
You, me, my nan and Jim down the pub know that potentially CAMELOT is the best horse in the race. Is the trip too short? Will the ground suit? etc... In my opinion if you have any doubt at all you cannot be backing at 15/8 or shorter. I'm pretty well in Antepost on this race, one day I'll write a blog on how I put together my Antepost book, most bases covered at decent odds. My choice for this really hasn't changed since the 21st May last year. I watched POWER scrap to win a listed race over an unsuitably short distance, I saw in that race a horse that wanted further but looked willing to fight for his corner no matter, he is a winner, I backed him for the 2000 Guineas the next morning, at 25/1. I even advised, on this blog, on the 14th June the morning of the Coventry Stakes, to back him at that price before he went on to win said race later that day, which incidently he did. That Coventry Stakes was his best ride given by Ryan Moore, who I was very pleased to see booked on today. His defeats mean little to me, when chinned by La Collina, Seamie Heffernan put him in front far too early, and the Dewhurst he was done tactically, the winner grabbed the rail stuck his head down and went, Ryan found trouble in running and had to really search for a run, which cost him a couple lengths over the frantic 7f on the day. He has an extra furlong to protect the horse today. He's my winner ladies and gents. Being a Street Cry fanatic I've been following FENCING, it's a frustrating task as he always seems to get a problem when he's due to run. Word on the heath is that he has been working very well, but if I had a pound for every time I heard a Gosden horse was working well I wouldn't need to bet! I think he'll probably enjoy the extra 2 furlongs that his breeding suggests in the future but if he's well and runs, it appears the 2 cannot be exclusive, then he has a chance of a place at least. My best Antepost result, bar Power, is ABTAAL, but if it stopped that smug, cheese-eating, monkey climbing into the winners enclosure I'd be happy for the bookies to keep that cash, however it would take the sting off.
POWER to win, FENCING E/w.

345 PEARL BLOODSTOCK PALACE HOUSE STAKES
This is going to be an absolute dash. On paper the draw appears to be the low numbers, but we won't really know until we've seen a couple of races and where the ground is. On that basis I'm not going to go too much up a garden path here. I've backed INXILE, who is pretty prolific over the minimum trip, drawn low, and the ground won't hamper. SPIRIT QUARTZ is a horse I'm following but he's done his best work over 6 so I may just leave him today (I won't because I would probably self harm were he to win, but I'm just offering up doubts before you guys stick your mortgage on him), Last year I backed the winner of this, and the same trainer/jockey have one in here with a decent chance MOVE IN TIME. Drawn low, between some decent nags, has been generally consistent with results so I give him every chance of making the frame. 25/1 looks big.
INXILE and MOVE IN TIME same stakes E/w.

420 AL RAYAN HANDICAP

A tricky little race. I've picked out 3 at decent prices. I won't bore you too much but I'll just briefly explain why, I will be backing all 3, same small stakes, each way. TIOMAN LEGEND was the first that caught my eye, not really on form but on the jockey booking, Jamie Spencer, he is a wins when he wants kind of chap, he could be one of the best but has issues outside of racing that are his priority so we will necer really get to see him back to his very best, if you ask me. Anyway he caught my eye because he takes this ride from Roger Charlton and HRH Sultan Ahmad Shaw despite the fact that Fitri Hay has one entered in the race. Next up is FULBRIGHT, This one is actually pretty closely matched on form to stablemate ES QUE LOVE, going on last year, and ran well on final appearance. His stablemate has really trained on and if he has as well then 20/1 plays 6/1 looks pretty decent value to me. Finally I'LL BE GOOD. Trainer Robert Johnson doesn't have many winners but does have a pretty decent rate of making the frame. This Red Clubs Colt has run well on both turf starts this season and the eyecatching booking of wonderkid Mickael Barzalona, who rides the Rowley as well as anybody, suggests to me that you will get a run and maybe a place for your 28/1.

455 QATAR RACING NEWMARKET STAKES

With Swedish Sailor out of the race, it points towards NOBLE MISSION with a vengeance, this meeting was set alight last year by a certain animal named Frankel, who just so happens to be this fella's brother. He has looked like a proper horse in 2 starts so far, if not a little temperamental, his price is quite short but I'd be a backer provided it stays above 6/4 (2.5), one that catches my eye also is the newcomer MICHELANGELO, his full brother No Heretic put up a fight to some decent horses in first couple of starts and I think this one could announce himself here.
NOBLE MISSION to win, MICHELANGELO small stake win (7/1 isn't an ew price for me) and potentially one for the notebooks.

530 QIPCO SUPPORTS RACING WELFARE HANDICAP

HADAJ and FOURTH OF JUNE are on my alerts so will have a small interest, but no advice, REWARDED is unexposed and could go well, jockey puts me off a little, and DEVDAS catches my eye, I've been made aware that a lot of the Dylan Thomas progeny will train on, and this one put together some consistent results at the back end of last season.
Small win on REWARDED, equal unit EW on DEVDAS
(by equal unit, if you do £5 win on R, do £5 EW (10 total) on DEVDAS.

I'll give you the multi's, then a list of singles, and then we'll see what time we have left for some interesting ones but not advised bets.

Morning all, How are we? Woke up this morning and it was raining! I should just put that as the header of the blog, because it doesn't look like easing up anytime soon. Yesterday wasn't a disaster as the treble yielded 37pts return, but on a race by race basis, it was a losing day. It's going to happen more times than not, but as long as we keep getting the multiples up we'll stay ahead of the bookies.

A lovely start to the month, with decent profits on both Lucky's and an overall profit on race by race selections.
